If there anyone who is learning Aikido, you can write some of your opinion or knowlegde about it.
To who are interested to know more about Aikido, you can ask as many questions you
want. I hope there are more Aikidoka will help you to answer your questions.
There are several types of Aikido schools in Malaysia such as Aikikai, Saito Aikido, Yoshinkan Aikido.
All these schools, they are obtaining the same basic principles. However, the only different is the way these school train.

其实我有点疑问！
Sonny Sensei 教的是“养神馆合气道”而我也有听过“修道馆合气道”。
但两者又好像有点关系，真有点乱。。
应为 Sensei woon 的也叫养神馆合气道，like closely linked with Sonny Sensei

Oh yeah...you got me...i am the one.
Yoshinkan Aikido is one of the Aikido organization, and Shodokan Aikido is one of the school which is affiliated with Yoshinkan school. This is basially all the same.... if one day, you open up your dojo and you can name it anything you want. OFcourse if you want to affilate with Yoshinkan Aikido, then you need to teach Yoshinkan aikido. Do you get what I mean?
Sensei dojo's name used to called mushinkan aikido, but somehow he never used it anymore.

I am from Yoshinkan school, so I dont think Aikikai and Yoshinkan will have the same kyu test. I think you better download your kyu test from Aikikai shcool, and if you dont understand it I will try my best to help you up. ok keni988 于 13-7-2004 00:51说 :

哦，performer是做什么的？不好意思，因最进很忙，只知道有10th anniversary celebration，然后是尽量抽时间去参加的，所以不是很清楚这个celebration的其他事物。我可能会在Sensei的考试里做他的Uke，可以说是后备 :P

请问个位前辈, 合气道的英文命应该是Akido吧, 不过我之前有看过"Hupkido" 这个字眼,不知道

合气道是Aikido,不是Akido, Aikido是从日本来的，而Hupkido是从韩国那边来的。我不是很清楚Aikido和Hupkido是否都来自Jutjisu或其他的武术，这就有劳其他前辈了，等我较有空时在找找吧。
Hupkido不同于Aikido得是，它还有加上拳击和踢腿。
如要看这两者有什么不同，Aikido请去找Steven Seagal以前所主演的电影，像'Hard To Kill', 'Under Siege 1 and 2',还有。。。忘了。。。哈哈。。去google找'Steven Seagal', 他可是七段的师傅哦。
至于Hupkido,请去找‘Best of the Best 1 n 2',里面好像有一个亚洲裔打得是Hupkido.
