Melati has some catching up to do

MELATI Ehsan Holdings Bhd, a small construction stock, has some catching up to do if it is to meet analysts’ forecasts for the year ending Aug 31, 2008 (FY08).

OSK Investment Bank said the first half of the year was traditionally a weak period for Melati, and it foresaw the second half making up the remainder of its projection.

For the first six months ended Feb 28, Melati posted a net profit of RM7.74mil, or 6.45 sen per share. OSK, in a report dated April 30, projected that the company would make RM34.2mil, or 28.5 sen per share, in FY08.

OSK noted that in the previous fiscal year, first-half earnings made up only 20% of the group’s full-year results.

Melati’s share price ended flat at RM1.30 on thin volume of 37,200 shares traded last Friday. It has a market value of RM156mil.

The company, which was listed in mid-March 2007, hit a peak of RM1.78 in October last year.

Like many other construction stocks, Melati’s share price performance was bogged down by concerns over the potential slowdown in the sector and rising material costs.

OSK had previously revised by half its assumption for the group’s order book replenishment from RM300mil to RM150mil this year.

It also said a recent announcement that some Ninth Malaysia Plan projects may be delayed or scrapped reinforced its view that the local construction sector was heading for a slowdown,

In late March, Melati said it was awarded a RM40.5mil contract for the main building works for the Carrefour hypermarket in Kota Damansara, Selangor.

Recent press reports said the company’s order book was worth RM1.7bil – mostly in Johor and Selangor – which would sustain the company over the next three years.

Managing director Datuk Yap Suan Chee owns the biggest stake (49.7%) in the company, followed by Melati Corp Sdn Bhd (20.9%) and Lembaga Tabung Haji (7.3%).

不敢奢望有那么多，只要有像osk预测的28。5sen就偷笑了

短期应该不会有太大作为。。。如果下一季的报告好看的话，或是最近又什么好消息的话，可能现在是最好的买进时间

Carrefour to spend RM1.6b on new hypermarts

CARREFOUR will invest an estimated RM1.6 billion in Malaysia to open another 16 hypermarkets by end-2012, its top official said.

The amount includes the possibility of the retailer having its own land and building, building on leased land, or leasing the building, said managing director Shafie Shamsuddin.

"We hope to have 30 stores by 2012," Shafie said.

Two Carrefour hypermarkets have opened this year - one each in Malacca and Kuantan. Other openings scheduled for the year include Tropicana City, Petaling Jaya and another in Johor.

Based on its December 31 2007 results of RM1.32 million, the retailer could make as much as RM1.58 billion in sales this year.

Carrefour expects that its staff strength in 2012 to be around 8,000. The French retailer currently employs a total of 4,000 employees at its headquarters and 14 hypermarkets nationwide.

Shafie was speaking to reporters yesterday following its announcement to employ more disabled persons at its organisation.

The retailer now has 21 physically-challenged employees in various positions, including at director level to graphic artists and those working at the bakery and call centres.

"Carrefour has an ambition to increase the appointment of OKU (orang kurang upaya/physically challenged) to five per cent of total employees which will be about 300 to 400 in 2012," he said.

"We do not hire people because of their disability but we hire them because of their ability," Shafie said.

He said since transporting the disabled from home to work and back was not as as easy as offering them a job, it will be setting up The Carrefour Foundation. It hopes to rope in the government for assistance.

Through the foundation, which Carrefour plans to place a minimum of RM1 million to RM2 million annually, it hopes to be able to purchase vans to help transport the disabled employees from home to work and back.

Carrefour in Malaysia is operated by Magnificent Diagraph Sdn Bhd, which is 30 per cent owned by Syarikat Pesaka Antah. Syarikat Pesaka Antah is controlled by the Negeri Sembilan Royalty.

之前Melati已经很久没有人排队买了,
就算有也排在很低的价位,
偶就看到没人排才排队买的,
偶设置的价位是0.91(跌停版价位),
偶每天都设置在这个价位,
上个星期突然有个家伙设置了比偶更高的价位 ...

那么我还是看不见他的用心在哪里。。。

如果说是故意压低然后希望别人惊慌跟着低价卖出，然后自己大量买进收着。。。

可是那天的成交量才121lot。。。今天的价钱又起了。。。那么他如果是大户不会那么快就炒回起来。。。应该慢慢在地位收购。。。

林敬益榮膺敦勳銜
國家元首冊封1862人

（吉隆坡6日訊）國家元首端姑米占再納阿比丁明天歡慶46歲華誕，共有1862名各族有功臣民受冊封，其中3人榮膺敦勳銜，他們分別為聯邦法院首席大法官拿督斯里阿都哈密、前政府首席秘書丹斯里阿末沙基和民政黨顧問拿督斯里林敬益醫生。
同時，壁球公主妮柯大衛也獲功績獎章（DARJAH BAKTI）。

31人封丹斯里

受封丹斯里勳銜的有31人，他們分別為巫統婦女組主席拿督斯里拉菲達，馬華署理總會長拿督斯里陳廣才、首相署部長拿督阿米爾桑、大眾銀行董事經理拿督斯里鄭亞歷、億成控股掌舵人拿督葉順治、人權委員會成員拿督邱家金和多美集團執行主席拿督吳德芳。

受封拿督勳銜的則有53人、J.M.N勳銜者有21人、J.S.D勳銜有1人和J.S.M勳銜有91人。

林敬益也是國內第4位仍健在受冊封敦勳銜的華裔領袖，其他2人為馬華前總會長敦林良實醫生和馬華元老敦翁毓麟及民政黨前主席敦林蒼佑醫生。

過去受封敦但已不在世的華裔領袖為馬華創辦人敦陳禎祿和前總會長敦陳修信。


53人受封拿督
國家元首端姑米占華誕，共有51人受封PJN拿督勛銜，另有2人受封PSD拿督勛銜。

受封拿督勛銜人士包括選舉委員會秘書拿督卡瑪魯查曼、新海峽時報集團副主席拿督斯里卡里慕拉、馬來西亞房地產發展商會主席黃騰亮、馬華沙白安南區會主席郭洪究、馬華峇眼色海區會主席尤端樹、國民服務局總監阿都哈迪、馬華玻州聯委會秘書傅子初、反貪污局調查組主任拿督莫哈末蘇克里等。

多美集團執行主席丹斯里吳德芳

吳德芳祖籍梅縣程江鎮，1937年出生在馬六甲，是第二代客家移民。他白手起家，幾經波折，建立從提煉黃金、生產金飾、工廠代工（原料加工）、金飾設計、批發、門市零售“一站式”經營的“金飾王國”。

從1985年至1990年，他擔任馬來西亞金鑽珠寶商公會聯合總會會長期間，設立了民辦但公信力強的金飾標準局與驗證局，奠定了我國黃金首飾國際化的基礎。

他也是我國著名華團領袖，以傳承和弘揚中華文化、客家文化著稱。

馬華署理總會長丹斯里陳廣才

現年53歲的陳廣才，出身彭州文冬貧苦家庭，在半工讀下完成馬大中文系學業，考取一級榮譽學位。

陳廣才與妻子潘斯里黎玉蘭，育有二子二女。他曾任大學講師，于1980年加入馬華，並于1986年出任當年衛生部長已故丹斯里陳聲新的政治秘書。

陳廣才在政途平步青雲，曾任馬青總團長、馬華副總會長。隨著林良實和林亞禮引退后，他和黃家定于2003年接捧。

在官職上，他先后出任文化、藝術與旅遊部副部長、能源、通訊與多媒體副部長，也擔任過交通部長。

陳廣才在今年全國大選前以健康理由，宣佈不再上陣。

大眾銀行董事經理丹斯里鄭亞歷

現年66歲的大眾銀行董事經理鄭亞歷，在銀行及金融界擁有超過40年經驗，他取得英國Henley之工商管理碩士學位，並修畢哈佛商學院的進階管理課程，亦為澳洲金融服務學院及馬來西亞銀行家學院資深會員。

鄭亞歷曾出任多個團體要職，包括馬來西亞金融公司協會主席及馬來西亞租購公司協會榮譽顧問。

人權委員會成員丹斯里邱家金博士

邱家金現年71歲，是馬大歷史系教授，也是國內具權威性的歷史學家。

他是體育評論員，曾于1994年至1996年期間擔任馬大體育中心總監。他在去年獲首相拿督斯里阿都拉，委任為“司法界談話錄影醜聞風波”皇家委員會的成員。

民政黨顧問 敦林敬益

林敬益領導民政黨26年，期間經歷多少風浪，始終屹立不倒，是在位最久的部長之一。他在2006年9月2日舉行的民政晚宴，宣佈在2007年4月8日，即68歲生日當天，正式退位。

這位以“傻子醫生”稱號聞名的政治領袖，早已安排自己屬意的接班人丹斯里許子根接棒。

葉順治封PSM

億成控股（Melati Ehsan Holdings）掌舵人拿督葉順治，榮獲最高元首封賜PSM丹斯里勳銜。

葉順治是處事低調建築發展商。于1994年成立億成控股，經歷10多年的奮鬥，去年終于在大馬股票交易所主板上市。

億成控股2007年的業績達1億7千3百萬的營業額，並取得稅前盈利3900萬元。

葉順治說，億成會繼續擴展基建與房地產領域的業務，包括進軍國際市場。

政府的多項道路基建工程，都放心的交託億成發展，並都獲得很好的口碑。因這些工程的完工期都是提前建竣。

對今日在最高元首慶祝46歲華誕中，榮贗PSM丹斯裡勳銜，葉順治感謝政府的厚愛，並會珍惜之，在感恩之餘，他會更努力的發展事業，為國家、社會獻身。
