TIN PRICE FALLS BY US$200 AT US$23,800 PER TONNE  
   KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 -- Tin price on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market
(KLTM) fell by US$200 to close at US$23,800 per tonne today following the sharp
downtrend on the London Metal Exchange (LME), dealers said.
They said LME tin lost US$455 to US$23,800 per tonne on profit-taking and
speculative selling activities.
"The local market was easier today. There were more offers than demand," a
dealer said.
Turnover declined to 112 tonnes from 125 tonnes yesterday, with the
participation from Japanese, European and local traders.
At the opening bell, bids stood at 62 tonnes against offers of 144
tonnes.
The price differential between the KLTM and the LME widened to US$390 per
tonne from yesterday's closing of US$135 per tonne.

券商持平看建裕珍廠

建裕珍廠在面對高通脹壓力時，仍維持強勁的業績表現。

（吉隆坡16日訊）建裕珍廠（KIANJOO，3522，主板工業）季度業績表現亮眼，獲券商上調財測，但基于公司股價上漲空間有限，投資評級遭降至“中立”（Neutral）。豐隆投資研究原推薦投資者“買入”（Buy）建裕珍廠，目標價格維持在1.14令吉。
建裕珍廠第3季淨利和營業額，按年揚升37.7%及15.2%，高出市場預測，歸功于越南業務貢獻顯著。
鋁罐需求上揚
報告說，鋁價近期自歷史新高滑跌至3年新低，因而帶動鋁罐生產第3季營運盈利從第2季的4690萬令吉，增加54%至7230萬令吉。
“不過，估計消費者將減少汽水消費，以節省家庭開銷，這將直接影響鋁罐需求量，或衝擊建裕珍廠2009財年的獲利。”
海外業務方面，越南目前佔集團盈利10%，主要是供應當地與食品相關的鋁罐。
建裕珍廠管理層說，越南正處高通脹期，消費者需求一般會在經濟危機時上揚。
僑豐投資研究指出，建裕珍廠在面對高通脹壓力時，仍可維持強勁的業績表現，故上修2008和2009財年財測42%及36%。
但礙于市場條件不佳及股價上漲空間有限，投資評級調降到“中立”。
建裕珍廠52週最低和最高股價，分別為88仙及1.69令吉，市值達4億6193萬令吉。
週五閉市時，建裕珍廠平盤收1.04令吉，成交量達46萬9500股。

                                                            （吉隆坡）儘管建裕珍廠（KIANJOO,3522,主板工業產品組）第三季淨利按年上揚37.7%，但基於未來市場動蕩，分析員下調其評級，由“買進”下修至“中和”。
基於在高通膨中業績逆勢上漲，僑豐研究上調其2008與2009年淨利42%和36%，2009年淨利預測為7200萬令吉。
第三季淨利捎驚喜
建裕珍廠2008年第三季淨利捎來驚喜，預期常年化淨利7970萬令吉，比較早預期的7490萬令吉超出54%，第三季營業額按年上揚15.2%。
創下佳績主要是因為越南業務開花結果，加上罐裝組營運盈利按季增長54%。
越南業務估計對集團淨利貢獻10%，主要涉與食品有關的罐頭業務。越南之前的高通膨讓人極為關注，但此領域在危機時仍是人們所愛，需求不受影響。
第三季營運盈利按季增長54%至7230萬令吉，前期4690萬令吉，主因在於低鋁價，鋁價由3年高峰直墜至最低（以倫敦金屬交易所現價為準）。
僑豐預期2009年罐裝飲料需求下降，主要是人們減少家庭開支，因而對建裕珍廠2009年盈利有衝擊，本益比由9倍減至7倍，但目標價保持1令吉14仙不變。

傳冠旺收購建裕珍
35%股權值2.06億


（吉隆坡22日訊）消息指出，冠旺（CANONE，5105，主板工業）或收購建裕珍廠（KIANJOO，3522，主板工業）34.64%股權，以上週五閉市價計算，該批股權價值約2億600萬令吉。

《The Edge》週刊引述消息人士的話指出，冠旺已取得融資，收購建裕珍廠1億5386萬股。

上述股權是由畢馬威（KPMG）顧問服務公司在去年8月出售，該公司是建裕控股的清盤商。

報導指出，上述股權的另一名收購人選為建裕珍廠的董事經理拿督施朝全，他在1月20日買進1萬股建裕珍廠股份，直接持股達2.97%，並透過建裕控股及其他團體，持有建裕珍廠35.21%股權。

消息指出，上週五是競標者融資收購金的最后期限。

建裕珍廠上週五股價揚12仙或9.84%，以1年新高1.34令吉掛收。

畢馬威是在1990年初受委解散建裕控股，主要是施朝全及弟弟拿督施朝源兩大陣營長期存有糾紛。

另外，業界消息指出，隨可口可樂即將與星獅控股（F&N，3689，主板消費）結束合約，建裕珍廠極可能從中受惠，或可接手合約。

建裕珍廠是國內最大鋁罐製造廠，市佔率達70%。
