植物公园瀑布每年都一天的开放日，让大家目睹鲜有大瀑布的槟城的植物公园瀑布。

由于这是由PBA负责的，而且开放日的宣传很少，所以要等明年的开放日就要问问那些在PBA里工作的员工了。

以下的照片是我的同事拍的，他的父亲在PBA工作的。

植物公园(Botanical Garden)在槟岛，接近青年公园，也接近槟华女中。
问问槟岛人都该懂的。
黄昏或假日都会有很多人到那边跑步。

小时候时常听说过"走! 我们到waterfall去游山水。"
长大后也越来越少人提起waterfall了，过后才知道大家都称waterfall为植物公园了。

到了植物公园，都没看到瀑布，有时跑步到后面时才会听到流水的声音，但是还是没机会看到瀑布。过后才知道要等到开放日才可以看到瀑布的。

印象中槟城的瀑布只是南天门那边的瀑布而已。
但是那边很危险，时常发生意外，现在好像是关闭起来了。

嗯，大家就约定明年一起去看植物公园的瀑布吧!
当我知道是几月几日时，我会在这里宣传一下的。

那天走山游瀑布，还没到那边时，我在想会不会看到以上的瀑布。
虽然到最后看不到以上照片的瀑布，但是我们很满意那个小瀑布

去植物公园酱久都不知道有瀑布的？？而且还蛮美的！！偶要去！！但有没有得游泳的？？

真的很少人知道有这个地方

而我们去玩山水的那个小瀑布。。。。。。其实。。。。。。是禁区来的
如果没错的话，那个小瀑布与以上的瀑布是同一个瀑布来的

但是由于瀑布的水太少了，所以还没决定是在那一天。

植物公园的节目时间表也出炉了
植物公园的瀑布的开放日是四月二十四日。

以下是植物公园的节目时间表 :

March:
Friday 18th & 25th         9 – 11am Children’s Garden preparation

Saturday 26th         9 – 11.30am Children’s Gardening. Come and help a group of young nature lovers learn how to grow their own vegetables and flowers.

Saturday 26th         3 – 5pm Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Penang Botanic Gardens Society

April:
Saturday 2nd         3-5pm Watercolour Course with Choo Beng Teong. An 8 week course, continuing on from previous training. Limited space available, with priority to previous participants. Registration essential.        Minimum 4, maximum 7 persons.
        Fee:         Members RM 120/-         Non Members RM 140/-

Saturday 9th         9 – 11 am Vermiculture and Compost Talk by Dr. Hasnah Md Jais, from USM. Dr. Hasnah will be sharing with us her knowledge on the wonders of the Tiger Worm Composting studies carried out at USM.
        Fee:        Members, RM 3/-        Non Members RM 5/-
       
Tuesday 12th         9 – 11.30 am Children’s gardening.

Saturday 16th        9.30 – 11.30 am Garden Visit, Mr and Mrs Leggett have very kindly offered to open up their delightful garden in Tanjung Bunga for members and non-members to visit. Call the Botanika Office to register and get directions.
                        Fee: RM 3 members.         RM 5 non-members

Sunday 24th         9 – 11 am Guided walk through the Botanical Gardens up to the Waterfall.
        Registration and payment to be in advance, numbers are limited.
        Fee:         Members RM 5/-         Non Members RM 10/-
        Maximum 20 participants
       
May:
Sunday 1st        9 – 5 pm Nature Outreach Day. A full day event of Nature activities for children between the ages of 6 – 12yrs. Numbers are limited. Fee RM 45/- includes refreshments, lunch and T-shirts.

Saturday 7th        9 – 11 am Garden Visit: Mrs Rozina Ghazall has kindly opened up her small yet charming garden to us. Call Botanika Outreach for registration and directions.
        Fee: RM 3 members.         RM 5 non-members
        Maximum 15 participants

Saturday 21st         9 – 11 am Cleaning your house naturally:  Mrs Norliza Bt. Hussain has agreed to come to talk with us on how we can reduce the amount of chemicals we use in the home. Not only reducing our chemical impact on the environment but it keeps down costs.
        Fee        Members, RM 3/-        Non Members RM 5/-
June:
Sunday 5th        World Environment Day: Further details later

Saturday 18th        9 – 11 am Guided walk through the Botanical Gardens up to the Waterfall.

Saturday 6th         9 – 11 am Garden Visit, Clement Liang invites you to join him for a Japanese Tea Ceremony in his Japanese Garden in Tanjung Bunga. Call Botanika Outreach for registration and directions.
        Fee: RM 3 members.         RM 5 non-members.
                        Maximum 25 participants

Sunday 28th        9 – 11 am Guided walk through the Botanical Gardens up to the Waterfall.

很多年前去过一次,当时的开放日没有宣传,也没有收费,很碰巧也很幸运的参观了这个禁地.这可能是槟城唯一的瀑布,有很"焕然一新"的感觉.槟城人---- must see.
