積極擴大高賺幅產品‧艾柏士保健盈利看俏

（吉隆坡8日訊）艾柏士保健（AHEALTH,7090,主板消費品組）未來業務潛能受看好，主要是該公司積極擴大賺幅較高的本身品牌藥物產品、更多逾專利期藥物擴大通用藥物產品，及國內友善的藥物管制政策等利好支撐。

僑豐研究看好該公司未來盈利成長潛能，主要是本身品牌產品作出更高的營收及帶來更高賺幅，它旗下的咳藥水（佔2011財政年營業額的5%）及心血管藥物產品暢銷，從逾專利期藥物中受惠，以及從友善管制政策改變的正面影響等利好支撐。

該公司也擁有本身品牌的藥物產品，以旗下的艾柏士藥劑也銷售第三方品牌藥品。其中30%營業額來自本身品牌產品，其餘70%則是第三方藥物產品。預料2011至2016年，總值2千670億美元的藥物將逾專利期，使通用藥物產品的市場空間進一步擴大。

該公司計劃擴展本身品牌藥物產品以提昇賺幅（約40至50%），比較第三方產品則約為10%。目前它正在研發Avex、Avo、Kaps等品牌的產品線。其馬六甲工廠近全面投入運作，同時也可增加另一生產班次增加產量。

該公司為一家逾專利期藥品製造商及第三方藥品分銷商，涉及營運範疇包括新加坡、大馬、越南及印尼。

根據2011年的一項市場調查，2005年的專利藥物佔全球藥劑開銷市場的70%，惟至2015年時料將下跌至53%水平，因為更多的藥物專利期逾期所致。同時，通用藥物的開銷額則從2005年的20%，至2015年則揚升至39%水平。

該公司在過去8年的營業額复合常年成長率達到9.9%，預料該公司未來的盈利成長的复合常年成長率將達到16.6%。（星洲日報／財經）

Apex Healthcare Q2 profit up 30pc

KUALA LUMPUR: Apex Healthcare Bhd's pre-tax profit for
the second quarter ended June 30, 2012 rose by 30 per cent to RM11.33 million from RM8.74 million in the same period of 2011.

Revenue rose by 13 per cent to RM100.68 million from RM88.98 million previously.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Apex said the better performance was attributed to stable sales growth in the domestic market, Singapore exports and tenders.

On prospects, it said, despite the uncertain global outlook, the group was confident it would perform well in the medium term due to sustained demand from its key markets of Malaysia and Singapore.

Apex has declared a six sen per share dividend for the quarter compared with 5.5 sen in the same quarter last year. -- BERNAMA

Reference is made to the Company’s announcement on 11th January 2013 on the above subject. (For consistency, the abbreviations used throughout this announcement are the same as those defined in the previous announcement.) The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to clarify the following: 1. The consideration of RM4,988,000 which is at a premium was agreed after the Company has considered that ABio Orthopaedics Sdn Bhd ("AO") will commence with an initial contract and a management team with the expertise and experience to rapidly set up operations and commence production and revenue generation within the first half of 2013. Given the outlook of the orthopaedics devices market and the identification by the Malaysian Government through its agency, PEMANDU, that the contract manufacturing of orthopaedics components as an activity of the Healthcare National Key Economic Area to be supported under the Economic Transformation Plan, a key initiative of the incumbent government to raise Malaysia’s GDP growth, the expected financial performance of AO should justify the premium paid by the Company. 2. As a newly incorporated company, AO may require reasonable time to secure external bank borrowings. The provision of an interest bearing loan of up to RM5 million by ABIO to AO for its working capital requirements is to enable AO to start up rapidly in order to meet the terms and conditions of the First Contract. NU on the other hand is contributing management and technical expertise to AO to fulfill the requirements of the First Contract. NU will, where appropriate and depending on the requirement of the financial institutions, assume liability proportionately for credit facilities to be granted by financial institutions to AO. 3. In the meantime, equipment needs to be ordered, premises need to be secured, staff needs to be hired so that targeted production of AO can start in first half of 2013. As securing external funding takes time, the interest bearing loan is to enable AO to start up quickly while negotiations with banks are in progress. As for NU (the 60% partner), they are contributing management and technical expertise to AO in lieu of funding under the arrangement between ABIO and NU. （吉隆坡18日訊）馬股大盤今日表現不濟，惟藥劑集團埃柏斯保健（AHEALTH，7090，主要板消費）股價走勢大好，逆市上漲11仙或3%至4.17令吉，券商相信，骨骼整形外科業務將成為該公司最新的成長引擎。

埃柏斯保健今早先以平盤面市，報4.06令吉，較后更是節節走高；休市時該股價暫掛4.18令吉，高揚12仙，半日易手8萬8400股，高居10大上升股第3位。

閉市時，埃柏斯保健收在4.17令吉，漲11仙，全日10萬1800股易手。

僑豐投資研究報告指出，埃柏斯保健于今年1月，以聯營合資方式，與November Union有限公司共同持有ABio骨科有限公司（ABio Orthopaedics）。

“前者擁有ABio骨科40%股權，相等于500萬令吉，后者則擁有60%股權；該合約是以安全為主，雙方計劃于檳城設廠，並于今年首半年開始投入運作。”

隨著越來越多老年人口出現肌肉骨骼的疾病，券商相信，該業務將成為埃柏斯保健最新的成長引擎，並成為該公司中長期的投資計劃。

（吉隆坡19日訊）艾柏士保健（AHEALTH，7090，主板消費品組）骨科設備製造業務料從今年開始全面投產，僑豐研究相信新業務短期內難有太大貢獻，但中長期貢獻值得期待，有望成為第三支主要盈利來源，上調2013財政年財測1.4%。

僑豐與該公司管理層會面後指出，艾柏士保健已在今年1月耗資500萬令吉收購新聯營公司ABio Orthopaedics（AOSB）40%股權，AOSB正放眼攫獲第一項合約，同時將在檳城建立製造廠，預料今年上半年全面運作。

“AOSB主要涉足手術等級骨科設備、零件及手術工具的合約製造業務，由於人口老化導致肌肉骨骼傷病穩定增加，看好這項投資的中長期展望。＂

僑豐說，艾柏士保健將提供500萬令吉附利貸款作為設立廠房及安裝設備的營運資本，確保運作進入符合預期。

此外，顧客設備合約製造業務在政府遴選的國家保健關鍵經濟領域（NKEA）範圍內，受經濟轉型計劃支持，僑豐相信這項聯營投資計劃能捕捉國內骨科市場機會。
