PBA的业绩已出炉，截至2011年3月31日第一季，EPS＝3.33sen相比去年2010年同季度的1.62sen提高接近一倍。

Review of Group performance
Group revenue for the quarter ended 31 March 2011 increased by RM7.5 million or 15.3% as compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter 2010. Group profit before tax of RM13.2 million increased by 99.0% as compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter of RM6.7 million. The increases were mainly due to the improved sale of water revenue from trade consumers.

Variation of results against preceding quarter
Group revenue increased from RM50.4 million to RM56.3 million as compared to the immediate preceding quarter. Group profit before tax of RM13.2 million was up by RM0.3 million compared to the immediate preceding quarter of RM12.9 million largely due to the increased in trade revenue.

Current year prospects
The Group is expected to achieve satisfactory results for the year ending 31 December 2011. Nevertheless, the Board remains mindful on measures implemented to mitigate escalating costs and the prevailing economic conditions.

这家公司其实是好公司来的，之前ntv7的追踪档案有报道过，这家的水源浪费率是全国最低（无收益水），但面对的问题就是，成本过高，而且水要涨价没那么容易的，涨价了会给人拿来炮轰，所以这些成本都要自己承担起来咯

OSK Research ups PBA from RM1.22 to RM1.35

KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Research said PBA HOLDINGS BHD []’s 1QFY11 earnings beat its estimates with profits accounting for a third of its full year forecast.

“Higher earnings in this case is driven mainly on higher tariff rates chargeable to trade consumers coupled with the increase of registered trade consumers on a y-o-y basis,” it said.

OSK Research said on Tuesday, May 24 it raised its profit estimates to account for the higher earnings base.

“We also raise our FV for the stock to RM1.35 from RM1.22 previously. We re-iterate our BUY recommendation for the stock. We also raise our dividend estimate for PBA to five sen per share from four sen per share,” it said.

不懂水源保费有没用，但只知道，那有好的。。给人节省用水，当然也有不好咯，不好的就被对方炮轰咯

谢谢槟城人兄的消息，看来我可以多看看一两季了上次算过，租地给建游乐场（槟城的哪里我忘记了）不懂一季或一年能为之带来多少百万的盈利（对不起，我也忘记了，人老了）

因此PBA的未来地位是多么的重要。而且以新近报告出来的NTA（RM1.99）来对照于今天的闭市价（RM1.03），它可说是落差大约将近一倍。

   nta应该不重要吧？不懂那个书有说过，公司破产的话，资产都是还给债主等后，在分给股东的（不是说pba会破产，别误会）我觉得pba要看的应该是业绩，而不是看nta来选，有很多股的nta也是大过股价的，但不敢肯定他们会交出好业绩吧。。
而要是以股息率来看，这股将不会是好选择，但从生意来看嘛，就可以考虑考虑

这里我要表示的是如果以MOS（margin of safety）的角度去计算，它现在的价格还低过它的真正的价值很多。
至于它的赚益确实地改进了很多，所以觉得它的股价应该还有上胀的空间。

或许去算一下ncw吧，算看pba符合吗

ncw算法=（current asset-total liabilities）/total share ， 要是ncw》过股价，就有更好的理由了之前有算过，但很像小过股价

今早去巴杀吃早餐的时候听到傍边的uncle（3个60~70岁）谈股，听到一位说PBA 的Mr xxx comfirm要给xxx（听不到什么），他强调那个Mr xxx 已经comfirm了。

不知道是不是红股！

   营业额只提高15%，但盈利却起到100%，是不是公司有效的控制成本了？这季的profit margin有19%。。。强

PAAB to ink Penang water revamp deal June 2

The signing between Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd and the Penang state government will include the development of the Mengkuang dam.

Kuala Lumpur: Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) will sign a water restructuring deal with the Penang state government on June 2, confirming a recent Business Times report.

According to a media invitation, the signing would also include the development of the Mengkuang dam.

Business Times, in a report on May 20, stated that the government is expected to make an offer to buy the water assets in Penang for more than RM3 billion on the same date.

PAAB, the government's water asset management company, is a wholly-owned company under the Minister of Finance Incorporated.

The impending deal with the Penang state government is the first phase by the federal government to consolidate the water industry.

The federal government, via PAAB, has made a RM6.5 billion offer to buy over the Selangor water debts from bondholders.

Selangor's water sector players are Syabas, Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd (PNSB), Syarikat Pengeluaran Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash) and Konsortium ABASS.

The national water restructu-ring plan is meant to relieve the states and concessionaires of the heavy burden of funding future water infrastructure development.

After the restructuring, the responsibility falls under the purview of the federal government and PAAB, which is entrusted to buy over the states' water assets, thus making them asset-light and allowing them to focus on operations and maintenance.

Initially, the Selangor state government offered to buy the water-related companies for RM6.3 billion and take over their debt obligations.

In January 2009, the Selangor state government had prevented Syabas from implementing a 37 per cent tariff hike, which ultimately led to the default in the bonds repayment.

Lenders include Maybank Investment Bank and CIMB Group, which hold about RM1 billion of the outstanding water bonds. Insurance firms and pension funds hold about RM2 billion each while the rest is held by fund managers such as AmInvestment, CIMB Principal, RHB Asset Management and Public Mutual.

Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) will sign a water restructuring deal with the Penang state government on Thursday which marks another progress in the restructuring of the national water industry in the country.

Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister, Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui, said the impending deal with the Penang government was part of the first phase by the federal government to consolidate the water industry.

"Penang will join four other states, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Perlis which had signed the water restructuring agreement and to surrender their water assets to PAAB.

"I don't see why Selangor is so difficult to do so. Penang can accept, all other states have approved. I don't see why Selangor cannot," he told Bernama in an interview.

It is believed that PAAB, the government's water asset management company, a wholly-owned unit under the Minister of Finance Inc, is expected to make an offer to buy the water assets in Penang for more than RM3 billion.

However, Chin said, the details of the agreement would only be announced after the signing of the deal tomorrow.

The national water restructuring plan is meant to relieve the states and concessionaires of the burden of funding future water infrastructure development.

Meanwhile, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the negotiations on the terms of the water agreement were concluded two months ago.

"The signing ceremony has been fixed tomorrow in Putrajaya between Chin and myself," he said in a statement.

He said the Penang state government was initially reluctant to accede to the migration of the state's water assets to the PAAB under the federal government.

"However as chairman of Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang, I had no choice but to find a solution as the previous state government had agreed to surrender the state's water assets to the federal government under the Water Services Industry Act 2006," he said. -- Bernama
