完成收购POI Sanlam 踏入东南亚保险业

（吉隆坡21日讯）完成收购太平洋与东方保险（P&O Insurance）有限公司（简称POI）的49%股权后，南非金融服务集团Sanlam正式进军东南亚保险领域。
Sanlam上周五宣布，已完成收购POI的49%股权，收购价为2亿7000万令吉。
这交易由Sanlam新兴市场执行，即Sanlam旗下负责往新兴市场扩充国际业务的子公司。
Sanlam新兴市场总执行长海尼沃斯表示，此交易正符合Sanlam的策略，以参与指定新兴市场的增长机会，而这更是该公司进军东南亚区域的第一步。
透过Sanlam网站发表的文告，他说：“我们盼与POI团队达致卓越和长期合作关系。
我们也正在这区域内探讨其他机会，惟目前的焦点是稳定此项投资。”[南洋网财经] |

太平洋与东方派息15.17仙

（吉隆坡22日讯）在完成脱售保险业务49%股权之后，太平洋与东方（P&O，6009，主板金融股）今日宣布派发每股15.17仙需扣税及3.82仙免税的特别股息。
这项股息的除权日，是在6月5日。
今年2月，太平洋与东方已宣布，以2亿7000万令吉脱售保险太平洋与东方保险（P&O Insurance）的49%股权给南非保险公司Sanlam之后，有意在3个月内派发其中3700万令吉为特别股息。

（吉隆坡17日讯）太平洋与东方（P&O，6009，主板金融股）在5月7日，于英国成立一家Pacific&Orient产业有限公司，后者有意进行房产投资、发展以及交易。
Pacific&Orient产业有限公司目前仍是休眠公司，缴足资本为5股或5英镑，并由太平洋与东方100%持有。
去年12月，太平洋与东方宣布以2亿7000万令吉现金，脱售太平洋与东方保险（P&O Insurance）49%股权予南非保险公司Sanlam。
上述脱售计划预期今年5月份完成，之后太平洋与东方将继续握有保险业务的51%股权。
截至2012年9月30日的财年，保险业务占太平洋与东方总营业额的比例近99%。
