申请网络支付．太平洋与东方再推新产品

随着人们对生命的认识，对保险也不再如过往的忌讳。保险已经成了人们日常生活不可缺少的用品之一，保险领域也面对日益加剧的竞争，营运环境也备受挑战。身为大马其中一家大型独立的保险公司——太平洋与东方（P&O，6009，主板金融组）应该如何面对下一波改变呢？

太平洋与东方首席执行员曾炳成向《投资致富》表示，公司将改善网站页面，以吸引更多人浏览保险相关资讯。

曾炳成说，对比10年前，现在的营商环境已不同以往，网络非常便利，查阅资讯比以前更为快捷，因此许多人倾向自己上网查询资讯，但不见得人人会查阅保险资讯。

曾炳成举例：“你上一次查阅保险网站的资讯是几时？1个月1次？3个月1次？还是1年1次？相信很多人，都不会主动查阅保险资讯，这也是公司要改善网站的原因，以吸引更多人查阅保险资讯。”

他说，公司正在申请网络支付，并将网络资讯扩展至手机应用程式（Apps），如安卓及IOS系统，也是公司拓展的目标，让投保者有更多支付管道。

“上述申请已经呈交给相关监管单位如大马普通保险公会（PIAM）及国家银行（BNM），期望今年下半年可开始投运。”

根据国行数据显示，截至2016年止，过往6年，电子货币的交易量从8亿480万宗增加至16亿6320万宗，总值从35亿令吉走高至77亿令吉，两者6年的复合成长率（CAGR）分别为12.86%及14.04%。

“我无法得知，网络支付服务推出后，是否可以马上取得显著成长，亦不能期待在一夜之间就取得亮眼业绩，但相信3至10年内，可以取得显著成长。”

今年将推出4至5项新产品

询及是否推出新产品，曾炳成表示，公司计划今年推出4至5项新产品，不过，现阶段面对条例的监管，无法透露太多，待相关单位放行后，将会透过文告向公众宣布。

截至2016年12月31日止，太平洋与东方转亏为盈，净利报1165万3000令吉，前期亏损690万4000令吉。

曾炳成说，保险与一般领域不同，无法单凭一个季度来判断业务走势。

“个人认为，以单个季度来断定保险业，时间上太短了，至少需要3年的时间，才能判断。”

曾炳成补充，在这3年间会面对不同的问题，如程序及法庭判决等等，都会影响业务表现。

根据PIAM数据显示，普险领域最大的贡献者为汽车保险，占普险的46.2%。车险是索偿率最高的保险。

对此，曾炳成表示，公司车险的贡献只有10%而已，因此车险并不会对公司的业务带来很大的影响。

根据年报，太平洋与东方业务除了保险以外，还提供放贷、科技解决方案及其他服务。

次季虧損減55% 東太平派息3.5仙

（吉隆坡21日訊）東太平（P&O，6009，主要板金融）截至3月底次季虧損減少55%，從400萬令吉降低至179萬令吉，並且每股派息3.5仙。

不過，同時期營業額從1億158萬令吉，跌15.5%至8582萬令吉。

該公司上半年業績成功轉虧為盈，取得986萬令吉淨利；營業額按年下滑14%，至1億7092萬令吉。

東太平向馬證交所報備，車險和火險將在今年7月1日自由化，國內保險領域競爭料加劇，因業者將根據國行的產品價格和監管指標自行決定車險產品價格。

在這種情況下，公司董事局謹慎看待下半年的保險業務表現。【中国报财经】

2018年1月5日
（吉隆坡4日讯）为了回馈股东的支持，太平洋与东方（P&O，6009，主板金融股）建议派发红股。

该公司今日向交易所报备，计划以每6股配1股比例，发行4099万2333股新股。

董事部认为，发红股可提高股东的参与度，同时维持股权比重。

此外，发红股可扩大该公司的资本，进而改善流通量。

截至去年12月15日，太平洋与东方有24万5954股，发红股后，将扩大至28万6946股。

太平洋与东方‧美产业计划发展总值料4亿

（吉隆坡26日讯）太平洋与东方（P&O,6009,主板金融组）在美国的产业计划预计在今年10月动工，发展总值预期为1亿零500万美元（约4亿1000万令吉）。

该公司首席执行员曾炳成针对进军美国产业领域一事表示，该公司在迈阿密收购的地库已有2年之久，预料可在10月动工建造54个单位产业。

他认为车险开放收费制度（detariffication）有利于领域发展，惟不愿透露太多详情。

他并未对收费制度表示太多意见，仅表示：“请你自己先做研究，再来询问我。”

曾炳成在股东大会向媒体作出上述表示。

根据太平洋与东方年报，车险开放收费制度将加剧竞争，对此，曾炳成表示，年报叙述的事项是几个月以前发生的事，目前，营运环境已经有所改变。

太平洋与东方核心业务为保险、资讯科技及新创科技投资。

曾炳成补充，保险领域经常都会面对竞争。

首季由盈转亏

截至2017年12月31日首季，该公司由盈转亏，净亏损944万9000令吉，前期净利报1165万3000令吉，归咎于资讯科技税前亏损扩大，从247万1000令吉恶化至548万1000令吉。

对此，曾炳成仅表示，资讯科技业务主要为辅助旗下的保险业务，并没有其他客户。

太平洋与东方投资2家英国新创科技公司——Massive Analytic（MA）及Acumentive，分别持有14.63%及17.1%股权。

MA业务为大数据解决方案、Acumentive则为软件解决方案，后者客户包括物流、基建、医疗业者等。

曾炳成说，只要有新创业者寻求投资，太平洋与东方不排除任何投资的可能性。
