随着上述收购活动完成，把Bermaz汽车收纳为独资子公司后，成功汽车将建议进行首次公开募股（IPO）计划，发行共8276万3000新股（相当于扩大后缴足股本的10.31%），新股发售价则尚未决定。值得注意的是，此新股上市计划并没有配售给非土著散户至于上市所得款项，则将用于成功汽车集团的营运资本、投资在大马马自达私人有限公司（Mazda Malaysia Sdn Bhd）、资本开支的融资、偿还银行贷款和上市费用。
成功机构表示，上述建议旨在释放成功汽车的股东价值，并将为集团旗下马自达汽车业务提供透明的估值基准。
与母公司联营本地生产
随着上市活动，成功汽车将可直接进入股市，藉此可有更佳的资本管理灵活性。
Bermaz汽车是马自达汽车在大马的分销商，该公司去年9月，与日本马自达汽车公司（Mazda Motor Corp）正式签署联营协议，在大马生产马自达车款。

Berjaya takes over Mazda business in Malaysia March 2008 1:15 pm
The Mazda distributorship in Malaysia will be handled by Berjaya Corporation from the second half of 2008, through its company BerMaz Motor Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Berjaya Synthetic Fibre Sdn Bhd. BerMaz will acquire Cycle and Carriage Bintang Berhad’s entire shareholding in Hercules Automotive Engineers Sdn Bhd, which is the current Mazda franchise holder and a Cycle and Carriage company since 1983.
The Hercules shares will go for a total of RM16.8 million. BerMaz Motor’s Distribution Agreement with Mazda will begin officially on the 1st of April 2008 and will end 3 years later on 31st of March 2011.
Berjaya group currently has its foot in the automotive industry selling Skoda cars, ChangAn cars and Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles. The ChangAn CM8 sighted on public roads sometime in the past is most likely brought in by Berjaya for testing.

Mazda says that it will invest approximately RM100 million to enhance its local assembly operations and it expects local production to increase to around 20,000 units per year in the future. Currently, the Inokom plant also builds the CKD model of the Mazda 3. With the addition of the CX-5, the Japanese manufacturer plans on making an impact over here. Production of the Mazda 3 has already reached 5000 units and the CX-5 production will add an average of another 500 units per month.

When asked about the utilisation of local parts in the CKD CX-5, Mazda says that the local content is substantial and accounts for about 40% of the car. The company also plans on exporting the CX-5 produced at the Inokom plant to neighboring countries. The SUV comes in two formats, which are the all-wheel drive and front wheel drive versions, both of which are equipped with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre direct injection petrol engine.

The powerplant has a compression ratio of 13:1, which is considered the highest for a mass-production model. The one in the front wheel drive CX-5 produces 155bhp and 200Nm of torque while the all-wheel drive variant produces 154bhp and 198Nm of torque. In both formats, the CX-5 is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission that offers quick and smooth gearshifts. Slotting the gear selector into manual mode will give the driver the option of shifting manually.
