Ho Bee Investment, the Mainboard-listed property group, said profit attributable to shareholders decreased 64% from $72.9 million in the previous year to $26.2 million for the current second quarter ended June 30. This translates into earnings per share of 3.9 cents for Q2.
Group turnover was $6.1 million, 96% lower than the same period last year, as a result of the higher revenue recognition from development properties in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from property development for the second quarter of 2013 amounted to $3.3 million, 98% lower than the corresponding period last year.
The group’s revenue from property investment for the second quarter was similar for both 2013 and 2012, at $2.8 million.
A combination of cooling measures and impending supply has resulted in an uncertain and challenging environment in the Singapore residential market, said Ho Bee.
However, the group has diversified into China, Australia and the United Kingdom. The group has also strategically expanded its investment portfolio which includes Rose Court in London and The Metropolis in One North. The Metropolis comprising 1.08 million sq ft of lettable commercial space will be fully completed in October 2013.

Mainboard-listed property group Ho Bee Investment today announced the official change of its name to “Ho Bee Land Limited”. It has also unveiled a new corporate logo, as well as its new headquarters at The Metropolis.
Its trading counter on the SGX Mainboard will also be changed to “Ho Bee Land" in the near future.
The name change follows the special resolution passed at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on Sept 24.
A new corporate logo has been unveiled in conjunction with the name change.
The Group has from today relocated its headquarters to The Metropolis. The new registered address is 9 North Buona Vista Drive, #11-01 The Metropolis Tower 1, Singapore 138588.
Chua Thian Poh, Chairman & CEO of Ho Bee Land, said: “The name Ho Bee Land Limited will better reflect the Group’s positioning in the real estate industry and communicate a clearer set of values to its stakeholders. The new name is aligned with the Group’s positioning as an international developer with geographic footprint in Singapore, Australia, China and United Kingdom. Ho Bee Land's 3Q earnings slip 77% to $7.3 mil

Ho Bee Land said earnings for the third quarter ended Sept decreased 77% to $7.3 million from $31.5 million in the same period last year.
Earnings per share fell to 1.1 cents from 4.5 cents correspondingly.
Group turnover for 3Q2013 was $16.3 million, 71% lower than last year due to lower revenue recognition from development properties. Share of profit from jointly controlled entities was 76% lower at $4.8 million.
Group revenue from property development for 3Q2013 decreased 84% from 3Q2012 to $8.5 million.
Turnover for property investment for the third quarter rose by 200% to $7.8 million. This was due mainly to the rental income derived from Tower 1 of The Metropolis which has obtained Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) in July 2013 and Rose Court which was acquired in June this year.
The Metropolis, the 1.08 million square feet of lettable commercial space at One-North was fully completed this month. To date, more than 90% of the space has been pre-committed.
“Our office building in London, Rose Court, and The Metropolis will contribute to our future earnings,” said Chua Thian Poh, Chairman & CEO of Ho Bee Land. |

和美置地(Ho Bee Land)的子公司HB Le Grand将以1亿7,100万英镑向野村地产(Nomura Properties)收购一个位于伦敦的永久地契产业。该产业包含面积约为27万6,792平方英尺的甲级办公楼面,目前分租给五个租户,包括瑞士银行Julius Baer International和欧洲三井物产株式会社(Mitsui & Co Europe)。按产业每年逾990万英镑的租金收入计算,收购价的净获益率为5.5%。公司于2013年5月收购伦敦Rose Court办公楼,此次收购的是其在伦敦的第二个大型办公楼。此举是公司拓展至海外的策略行动之一,由于其在新加坡的投资商机有限。 |

等了那么久,我的重仓股。。2011年以$1.30买的。。昨天说的H 开头股不是hobee,那只股还没有大动作。为了保护我的价位(已经买了),暂时无法泄漏。那些靠猜来买卖股票的人士,交易自负。要赚股票的钱就好好自己掌握知识和技巧。

最近市场又来炒privatise的主题。每一次,一讲到privatise,一定有hobee得份,然后过一阵子又静静了。在新加坡的市场玩了8年,大概大概都知道他们在玩什么了。哈哈哈哈。

SINGAPORE (Apr 28): Property group Ho Bee Land today announced earnings for the first quarter ended 31 March 2015 nearly tripled to $11.6 million from $4.1 million last year.
Earnings per share rose to 1.7 cents from 0.6 cents.
Group revenue for the period amounted to $31 million from $17.1 million, 81% higher than the corresponding period last year. This was mainly attributed to the increase in rental income of office buildings, The Metropolis in Singapore and 1 St Martin’s Le Grand in London.
In line with higher revenue, profit before tax and non-controlling interests increased 168% from the same period last year to $15.5 million.
Total shareholders’ fund as at 31 March 2015 amounted to $2.62 billion, representing a net asset value of $3.93 per share. Net gearing dropped marginally from 0.35 times to 0.34 times as at the end of the period.
Chua Thian Poh, Chairman & CEO of the group, said, “The residential market in Singapore continues to be challenging. However, earnings for the next few quarters will continue to be underpinned by the strong rental income from the office buildings, The Metropolis in Singapore, Rose Court, 1 St Martin’s Le Grand and 60 St Martin’s Lane in London”.
Ho Bee said the residential market in Singapore is still very challenging. However, the group’s earnings for the next few quarters will continue to gain from the strong rental income of its commercial buildings.
Ho Bee closed 3 cents lower at $2.30 today. |
