Stamford Tyres Corporation, one of South East Asia’s largest independent tyre and wheel distributors, has announced the appointment of Al Habtoor Motors as the official dealer for Stamford Tyres’ proprietary premium value tyre brand, Sumo Firenza, in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Al Habtoor Motors, a subsidiary of Al Habtoor Group, is also the exclusive distributor for several renowned automotive brands including Mitsubishi, Bentley, McLaren, Bugatti, TEMSA, JAC, Fuso and Cherry in UAE.

Al Habtoor Group is a UAE-based multi-billion dollar business conglomerate.

天福胶胎(Stamford Tyres Corp)在2Q14录得营业额年比下降12.1%至7,150万元，由于Sumo Firenza品牌下的轮胎及用于矿场的轮胎的出口销售均下滑。

尽管营业额下跌，公司的2Q14毛利率从18.3%下降5.5个百分点至23.8%。这是因为销售成本减低及天福胶胎专卖连锁店Stamford Tyres Mart和卡车轮胎中心的增值服务带来更高的贡献。

总开支减低21.1%至6,630万元，主要由于2Q14录得170万元的其他营运收入，反观1Q14确实录得310万元的其他营运亏损。公司因而在2Q14转亏回盈，录得490万元的盈利。

启示：鉴于全球经济局势不明朗，公司预期其营商环境将依旧充满挑战。因此公司将继续改善其产品组合，并把营运成本减到最低，以提高表现及竞争力。
