宝德集团(Boustead Singapore)通过子公司BP Land与三个合作伙伴达丰国际(Tat Hong International)、AME Land及L&M Ground Engineering组合资，以在马来西亚依斯干达特区(Iskandar)联合发展混合用途产业项目。合资将称为Tat Hong Industrial Properties，它拟在依斯干达特区内的旗舰区努沙再也(Nusajaya)发展六幅工业用地。合资将发售每股1令吉的900万股新股，从而筹集1,000万令吉的缴足股本，而公司的BP Land将认购350万股新股，即相等于35%的股权。

Boustead unit wins contract to design, build and lease at TIP

Boustead Singapore said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Boustead Projects has won a contract to design, build and lease an integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and remanufacturing centre with an adjoining office building at the Tukang Innovation Park (TIP).

To be completed in calendar year 1Q 2015, the facility will have an expected gross floor area of 24,800 square metres. The end-user client’s business services, sales, after-sales and engineering functions will move into the facility upon completion. The facility will house a two-floor regional MRO service centre, training centre, workspaces for engine servicing, maintenance and remanufacturing of engines and also have an adjoining eight-floor corporate office building.

The facility is Boustead Projects’ third project at the TIP. In 2011 and 2012, Boustead Projects completed two projects within the TIP: An integrated high-tech manufacturing and R&D centre, as well as Greenpac’s Greenhub, an integrated innovative and environmental packaging manufacturing and R&D centre.

With the addition of this new facility, Boustead Projects’ portfolio of industrial leasehold facilities (both completed and under construction) numbers at 13, expanding the portfolio size to an estimated gross floor area of over 152,000 square metres.

As the latest contract is not on a design-and-build arrangement, it will not be added to the Boustead group’s order book backlog which currently stands at over $523 million.

Boustead Singapore posted a 30% fall in net profit for the 3Q ended Dec 31, due to the absence of a one-off gain in the same period last year.

Net profit for 3Q stood at $18.4 million, down from $26.2 million last year.

Boustead said the company had booked a $5.8 million gain on disposal of an available-for-sale investment in the previous 3Q. The same quarter also included a $3.3 million income tax refund.

Revenue for 3Q fell 8% to $130 million. But cost of sales fell by a higher 15% to $80.5 million. As a result, gross profit for the period was lifted by 6% to $49.2 million.

Boustead Singapore, the infrastructure-related engineering service provider, said on Monday that it has started "certain discussions" to enhance shareholders' value.

Replying to a query from the SGX on the trading activity of its stock, Boustead said it has "commenced certain discussions'' relating to "its strategy to expand its industrial leasehold portfolio to enhance recurring income and also to achieve a critical mass in order to unlock the value of its portfolio".

"However, in respect of the group's assets, no memorandum of understanding of a binding nature or any other definitive agreement has been entered into and no firm decision has been made whether to proceed with any sale transaction,'' Boustead said.

Boustead closed 1.04% higher at 1.94 cents for the day.
