[quote]Listed on SGX-SESDAQ on 30 July 2001, Vashion Group Ltd ("the Group"), known previously as Startech Electronics Ltd, was engaged in the business of the provision of electronics manufacturing services and the distribution business and switchgear design & assembly business. These were later changed to the distribution of equipment and consumable materials for the electronics industry and switchgear design & assembly services in 2004.

With the successful acquisition of Vashion Group (H.K) Limited in Hong Kong(“VGHK”), the Group has added a fashion brand management business into its fold, focusing on the management, distribution and retailing of mid-to-high-end men’s apparel in the PRC under the brand name of “Louis Gianni”. VGHK focuses on its core competencies of brand management by working closely with reliable vendors for the manufacturing of its products, and by employing an efficient retail structure, which has incorporated an attractive licensing scheme and program for many aspiring brand carriers and partners.

VGHK currently operates 80 stores throughout China having some stores located in major cities such as Beijing and Guangzhou as well as in provinces such as Fujian, Jiangsu, Shandong and Sichuan. Among the 80 stores, two-third of these stores are self-managed stores located at major shopping malls and hotels. The remaining stores are licensed third party stores who sell its products and operate the stores under its brand name, and sales agency stores which are appointed to retail “Louis Gianni” products on a consignment basis.

Vashion Group has embarked on a new business under Vashion Asset Management Limited ("VAM"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, primarily focusing on the business activities of providing pre-listing consultancy services in the Hong Kong SAR. Working closely with the various licensed professionals of the trade, VAM shall be providing pre-listing consultancy services in connection with the identification and determination of the feasibility of listing, the review of the business, management structure and capital structure for purposes of the listing, the identification and introduction of the potential underwriters and facilitation of preparatory work between the clients and their professional advisers.
