The company went public in Singapore in 2004, and Tianhai(THB) controlled its stock though the reverse acquisition. China Auto Electronics Group Limited is made up of two compaies: Henan Tianhai Electric Co.,Ltd and Henan Snowcity Science & Technology Limited.

The companies began to research and develop automotive connectors in 1979. The company’s new technology passed the provincial technical authentication in 1983, and filled the gap in electrical connection techniques in the Chinese automotive industry. It set up national standards for automotive connectors in 1986, and central connectors and automotive fuses in 2003. THB incorporated connectors manufacturing equipment and technology imported from Japan, in 1986, and imported the connector technology from Delphi in the United States in 1997 respectively. It then synchronized its development with China’s automotive industry. The company realized its goals of synchronization with major automakers by developing new products using CAD, PRO/E and UG technology.
The company’s major products are: Auto connectors; Fuses boxes, central power distribution units, fuses; Wire harnesses for auto and home electronic appliances; Terminal crimping machines, automotive cutting & striping machines, wire harness assembly lines and equipments; Auto electrics products. With more than 5,000 products in 5 categories, THB is a qualified OEM supplier to many major Chinese auto makers such as FAW, SAW, Shanghai Automotive, Chery, Shaanxi Automotive, Chang-an Automotive, etc. THB is also a supplier to many major electronic manufacturers such as Haier, Kelon, Xinfei and Glanze, etc. Its products have been exported to USA, Australia, Korea, etc.
Today, the company’s total assets amounts to 0.5 billion RMB, in which fixed assets is 0.21 billion RMB. THB Group covers an area of 120,000 square meters, of which 60,000 square meters is used for production. THB has introduced many advanced equipments from other countries. Such as: Fobofil290 wire cutting machines from Switzerland, V55C electric-spark machines, 450DX precision grinding machines, CNC stamping centers, CNC injection mold machines from Japan and Taiwan, and other advanced processing equipment. There are also CMM machines from the United States, tensile testers, thermo shock testers and other precise testing rigs. All of these equipments provide a solid foundation for quality products. The products received provincial and ministerial excellence awards in 1985 and 1989 respectively. The company received ISO9002 certification in 1997, and in 1999, it was the first in the industry to pass the QS 9000 quality system certification by TUV Anlagentechnik of Germany. The company passed the VDA6.1 and the ISO/TS16949 quality system certification of TUV in 2000 and 2004 respectively. In 2006, THB passed the ISO14000 authentication, ensuring its products to international market.
