It is principally involved in producing injection moulding products for the automotive, electrical and consumer industries.

Despite declining revenue, and net profit from 2010 to 2013, it seems to have rebounded strongly in 2014 with revenue rising 53.7% year on year to rm56.6 million in the first half of 2014. Net profit for the six month period was rm6.7 million.

Its book value stood at rm1.01.

It has large cash of rm101.7 million as at Jun e30 2014 which translates into rm0.368 per share.

Two major shareholders Dalta Industries Sdn Bhd abd Datuk Ng Boon Thong owns a total of 65.9% stake in the company.

Should Dalta and Datu Ng opt to privatize the company, it will cost them nothing in cash.

With a large cash pile and the stock trading well below its book value, it remains to be seen if HIL undertakes more value enhancing acquisitions, returns more cash to shareholders or becomes a potential privatizing candidate.

HIL had diversify into property development.
Datuk Ng Thian Hock is controlling shareholder of both HIL and A&M Realty. Elder Ng is the founder of A&M, holds a 55.14% stake in it and 53.09% in HIL.

The company has a landbank of 14ha in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. It also has a remaining landbank of 2ha in the Klang Valley which it will develop in due course.

HIL has a rm100 million in its war chest for further land acquisitions and no bank borrowings.

It is looking to acquire land parcels of around 30 acres in the Klang Valley .

HIL is a former penmaker for BIC, manufactures parts for the IT, electronics and automotive industries.

HIL is a also a vendor for local markets Proton and Perodua, Honda and Toyota .

Speculating that the Ng family will reduce its shareholding over time, to recognize value and give room to institutional investors.

The elder Ng has done this for A&M Realty via a placement exercise and he is likely to do the same for HIL when the time is right.

（吉隆坡5日訊）希爾（HIL，8443，主要板工業）持有龐大現金，以及低流通量，具備私有化條件，帶動股價一度增2.5仙至79.5仙，為自10月初以來的新高水平。

希爾以77.5仙開盤，先上揚0.5仙，並在開盤20分鐘內上衝1.9%或1.5仙至78.5仙，休市增1仙，暫掛78仙；半日成交量28萬2600股。

該股午盤持續在78.5仙游走，閉市時，該股報80.5仙，起3.5仙，成交量達112萬6100股。

希爾的市場流通量甚低，加上手持大量現金看來，Edge研究相信，該公司有可能被私有化。

根據Edge研究指出，希爾截至6月底持有1億170萬令吉淨現金，或相等于每股現金36.8仙，以目前價位78仙左右，幾乎是半數目前股價。

Edge研究有指，希爾兩位最大股東，即Dalta工業私人有限公司，以及A&M實業（A&M，5959，主要板房產）執行主席拿督黃天福，共同持有希爾65.9%股權。
