他们成功了

SINGAPORE: Starting Aug 1, the Vehicle Entry Permit fee for foreign-registered cars entering Singapore will be raised from S$20 to S$35 per day, while the Goods Vehicle Permit fee for foreign-registered goods vehicles will be raised from S$10 to S$40 per calendar month, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Tuesday (July 1).

The Vehicle Entry Permit fee increase only applies to foreign-registered cars and will not affect buses or taxis, the LTA said, adding that the fee for foreign-registered motorcycles will remain unchanged at S$4 per day.

Foreign-registered cars entering Singapore will have to pay the permit fee from 2am to 5pm on weekdays – except during Singapore’s June and December school holidays, when the chargeable hours will be 2am to 12pm on weekdays.

As per current regulations, no permits for foreign-registered cars and motorcycles are required on Saturdays, Sundays and Singapore public holidays. In addition, each foreign-registered car and motorcycle can enter Singapore for a maximum of 10 days per calendar year without having to pay the permit fees.

Owners of foreign-registered goods vehicles can continue to purchase the Goods Vehicle Permit at the current fee of S$10 for July. However, permits with a validity period beyond July will be charged at S$40 per calendar month, the LTA said.

The transport agency said in a statement that the fee increase is part of its periodic review to ensure that “the cost of owning and using a foreign-registered vehicle in Singapore is commensurate with that of owning and using a Singapore-registered vehicle”.

他媽的,RON 97汽油以後給他每LITER RM10。

敢駕新加坡車打RON95的,車子充公,坐牢10年打鞭24下。

如果马来西亚真的那么有效率,就不会那么多人到小新上班了。

Response To “睡不好遭刁难 新国马劳辛酸", (Oriental Daily News, 26 May 2014)

04-Jun-2014  filed under Replies to Media
ICA’s reply to Oriental Daily News
4 June 2014

Dear Mr Ding,

I refer to the Oriental Daily News article titled “睡不好遭刁难  新国马劳辛酸” on 26 May 2014 (writer unnamed).

2.         The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) has been working closely with the Immigration Department of Malaysia to alleviate congestion at the land checkpoints.  Both sides also cooperate closely for checks on travel documents and contraband items in order to safeguard security in both countries.

3.         Measures to alleviate congestion include providing more automated facilities for passport clearance by motorcycle and bus travellers. As an example, about 30% of motorcycle travellers use the automated immigration clearance today at Woodlands Checkpoint. By mid-2014, 95% of motorcycle travellers will be eligible for automated clearance and this will reduce the queues for motorcycles. Other measures include opening 24 additional counters at the old Woodlands Checkpoint for motorcycles and goods vehicles. Additional car counters are also opened during peak periods whenever appropriate.

4.         However, ICA may step up screening measures at our checkpoints during operations against attempted contraband smuggling into Singapore, or travellers without valid travel documents. We hope that travellers will understand that these stringent checks are necessary for safety and security reasons, including that of the travellers themselves. Travellers should follow the directions of officers at the Checkpoints to facilitate clearance of everyone as speedily as possible in a fair and orderly way.

5.         ICA has stringent measures to monitor officers’ performance, including CCTV monitoring and travellers’ feedback systems. It adheres to a strict no-discrimination policy in the treatment of travellers, regardless of nationalities.  Your article has made serious allegations of unprofessional conduct by our officers.  ICA takes a serious view of such allegations.  We would like to request for specific information from your paper or the persons mentioned in the report so that we can carry out a thorough investigation into the allegations. ICA’s contact details are CA_Feedback@ica.gov.sg">ICA_Feedback@ica.gov.sg or alternatively we can be reached on our hotline at +65-63916100.

6.         We would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation. Please publish this reply in full to keep your readers informed.  Thank you.
