本省新加坡人。。。

怎麽樣才算是本省新加坡人？
1) Local Born and Bred？
2) 祖輩也是Local Born and Bred？
3) 四民族之内的人種（華、巫、印、ang mo）？
4) NS？
5) Singlish with sea food (啦啦 & 蝦蝦)

還有嗎？


現在連ang mo也向true blue土族認輸。。。
不得不出來澄清自己的身份。。。

综上所述，“本省人”一词除了作为指示省籍的本义之外，很多时候也有作为指示身家背景的涵义。是以即使彼此的居住地或出生地皆为台湾，却仍有本省与非本省的区别。

Joseph Schooling has been in the headlines this week thanks to his amazing results at the Asian Games in Incheon with a Gold, Silver and Bronze medal for his swimming in various butterfly events.
However, some Singaporeans have been questioning whether or not Schooling is in fact a born and bred Singaporean.
This criticism and questioning has left his family puzzled and his father, Colin, explained that he is a true son of Singapore.
Colin, a 66 year old businessman was born in Singapore and is fluent in English, Malay and Hokkien. Joseph’s mother, May, Is a Singapore PR from Ipoh Malaysia who has already lived here for over 30 years.
Colin was responding to many online comments suggesting that he was an ang moh. He explained that his grandfather was an officer in the British army and he was English. However, he married a local Portuguese-Eurasian and settled here.
This makes Colin a 3rd generation Singaporean. He said “don't forget Eurasians are part of the Singapore population.” He also added that "The most important thing is we know who we are and what we are."​


He explained that “Schooling” comes from the Mecklenburg region of Germany and is originally spelt Schilling. Many Germans had been in Britain back in the 1100’s and many English names actually have German origins. From there, it came to Singapore while it was a British colony and is now their name.
Joseph is Colin and May’s only child who was born in Singapore and grew up here. Joseph left Singapore to train in the United States 5 years ago at the age of 14 to train to win a medal at the 2016 Olympic games.
Joseph, who has an American accent after training in the US for 5 years, explained that he used to be annoyed by the comments accusing him of being a foreigner but now, he just ignores the comments as he has gotten used to them.
"They are just keyboard warriors so I just tune it out.” He said.
Indeed, Schooling’s achievements at the Asian Games this year have definitely made Singapore proud as he was able to break a long dry-spell of medals in male swimming and even set an Asian games record.

可是除了一張身份証外，裡裡外外都和沒有一點新加坡味

那個只是我馬勞的看法

最重要的是大多數新加坡人認不認同

我以前的公司裡有一個英國長大，兩個澳洲長大的新加坡仔

除了身份證是粉紅色之外

根本就是英國佬和澳洲佬

当马仔怀疑自己的能力时，就大喊一声“MALAYSIA BOLEH”。
