At the conclusion of its second season, Banshee closed the door on Rabbit (Ben Cross) in spectacular shoot-out fashion. It also put Lucas and Anastasia (Ivana Millicevic) back on a path to new and different kind of relationship/alliance. Lucas’ daughter Deva (Ryann Shane) also has finally learned the truth about Lucas, and seems to want to get to know him on those terms.
There is still plenty more to explore in Banshee’s criminal underworld, though, as the new trailer shows. Lucas’ alliance with Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen) is still tenuous, and Proctor’s niece Rebecca (Lili Simmons) killing Alex Longshadow (Anthony Ruivivar) has caused the huge and hugely violent Chayton Littlestone (Geno Segers) to return to Banshee looking for retribution.
Banshee‘s real drive, though, are the relationships among its principle characters; not just Lucas and Carrie/Ana, but also the incredible Job (Hoon Lee) and the sage Sugar (Frankie Faison); checking back in with them can’t come soon enough.
The bottom line is that Banshee is always incredibly entertaining (and very, very violent), and none of those traits look to let up in the slightest during its upcoming season. ”You’d better brace yourself. Here comes the motherfucking neighborhood.”
