我今天查到bonia股东(chong chin look)卖了很多票,各位大大知道他是谁吗?

Chong Chin Look 是 Bonia 的 Finance Director,在 RM1.30 时,我便注意到他逢高就出货。当然接下来变一路涨一路卖。
不过他持有的股份并不多,才剩下 31 张,和大老板兼大股东 Sam Seng 的40%+ 有很大的差别。
而且,Bonia 最近的上涨,已经大量启动了 ESOS 的 Exercise。各大董事和股东也宣布了 Intension to deal in close period。
我也忘了在那家报纸看到 Bonia-wa 最近的 Off Market Deal,大约 RM 六百多万。
以上种种,都是导致 Bonia 上涨的主因。由于 Bonia 的 low liquility,也造成股价波动蛮剧烈。
不过,整体而言,bonia 过去三年一直横摆在块三左右,今天的种种变动及突破高峰,应该足以证明她的前景的确可以期待。

Bonia plans move to main board, mulls bonus issue

BONIA Corp Bhd, a leather goods maker, is believed to be working on a plan to transfer its listing status to the main board of Bursa Malaysa.



Bonia, which currently trades on the second board of Bursa Malaysia, has hired Hwang-DBS to advise it on the plan, banking sources said.

Business Times was told that as part of the plan, Bonia is mulling the possibility of a two-for-one bonus issue to increase its paid-up capital base.

Bonia currently has a paid up capital of 46.03 million shares, but it will require a minimum paid-up capital of 60 million shares to qualify for a seat on the main board of Bursa Malaysia.

Last year, Bonia rewarded shareholders with a one warrant for two shares issue, alongside an eight sen regular dividend and a two sen special dividend.

In 2003 and 2004, Bonia paid its shareholders a five sen a year regular dividend.

For the financial year ended June 2006, Bonia posted a net income of RM13.8 million, on the back of a turnover of RM221.4 million, while in the year before, Bonia posted a net income of RM8.1 million, on the back of a turnover of RM192 million.

财务表现
本财政年度标志着本集团掀开崭新的里程碑,集团的营业额另创高峰,业绩高达2亿2100万令吉,比2005年增加了15%。这是集团发展史的空前辉煌成就,首次创下超越2亿令吉的营业额。显著的增长原自零售市场,主要是引领零售市场份额的皮革服装和鞋类所创下的较高销售额,写下双位数的增长率。除此以外,我们国内的市场营业额也比往年增长14%;国外市场营业额则增长61%。
由于营业额增加,再加上与去年相比,我们的运作开销较低,所以集团的税后盈利,从2005年的810万令吉增加至2006年的1380万令吉,涨幅高达71%。虽然面临更高的石油价格、货物膨胀和软弱的消费者情绪,集团享誉全球的优质产品、精湛技术、一致的品牌形象和卓越客户服务,再次让集团证明其对强度竞争的回弹能力。

经济评论
在持续飙涨的原油价格、上升的货物膨胀压力和财务紧缩,马来西亚的经济持续回弹。国家经济在2005年创下5.2%的增长率,而实际的国内生产总值则在2006年第二季,以5.9%的强势步伐扩展,紧接第一季所创下的5.5%增长率。
预测接下来的一季也将展示不跌落的增长率,整年平均增长率为5.8%。有如马来西亚经济和研究机构(MIER)的数据部门和商业条件指数(BCI)所反映出的持续高升的贷款指数,我们预测2006年后半年将显示较高的增长率。


在2006年,批发、零售贸易、酒店和餐馆的分部门之增长率预测是6.5%(2005:8%),由有利的消费者情绪和强烈的商业信心,以及健康的劳工市场条件所刺激。批发和零售活动的强稳增长率与全球旅游市场的整体改善和提升相互连贯。入境旅客的增长,尤其是来自中东和东盟的游客也引领国内旅游业持续缔造强势的增长率。预测2006年的游客观光率将增加6.7%,达到1750万,为国家带来高达346亿的收入(2005:1640万; 319亿令吉)。于2006年1月推介的2007年马来西亚旅游年(VMY)活动预测能够刺激游客的观光率,并期望2007年达到2010万游客。零售领域的增长也为我们集团产品带来正面的影响,它成功主导和刺激消费者的情绪和消费。

零售

企业发展
于2005年8月22日,集团通过其独资子公司Mcore Sdn Bhd购买Apex Marble Sdn Bhd (APSB) 60%的资产权益,价格为RM299,998。APSB是一家在马来西亚成立的公司,已缴资本为RM500,000。这家公司主要业务是在越南销售和发行男性和女性服装和饰物。在2005年8月15日,本集团的其子公司之一,Banyan Sutera Sdn Bhd (BSSB),已经增加其认可股份资本,从RM100,000增至RM2,000,000,分为2,000,000个价值为一令吉的普通股,同时也增加其已缴资本,从RM2.00增至RM500,000,总共分配499,998股。通过认购399,999股,集团持有BSSB80%的股权。

未来展望
2006年国内生产总值5.8%的正面增长率持续激励我们。通过第九马来西亚计划和2006年马来西亚预算,对全球经济增长减缓所给予的回应,政府已经采取积极的措施加强国内经济。当国内经济开始稳固发展和创下良好的经济增长时,这将提升消费者的信心和提高购买能力。除非出现无可预测的困境,不然在优良的经济环境和财务条件下,我们可预期明年将有良好的销售增长。

股息
董事局欣然谨此建议在截至2006年6月30日的财政年度最终决定性的股息分派为8%需扣除28%的总所得税以及特别股息为2%需扣除28%的总所得税。

Bonia to open 7 boutiques here next year

Bonia Corporation Bhd is set to open at least seven new boutiques in the country next year to take advantage of the anticipated increase in tourist arrivals in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007.

Bonia group managing director Albert Chiang said the group was well prepared for the increase in tourist arrivals and would open the new outlets in strategic locations, aligning its products to the taste of tourists.

"Each new boutique will cost between RM500,000 and RM1 million," he told reporters after Bonia's AGM in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Bonia now has more than 300 outlets in Malaysia and 85 outlets overseas.

The Tourism Ministry has projected 20.1 million tourist arrivals next year. Bonia said tourist arrivals were expected to increase 6.7% to 17.5 million in 2006.

Its four house brands comprise Bonia, Bonia Uomo, Carlo Rino and Sembonia. Bonia also has the licence to produce and distribute international brands comprising Balenciaga, Roberta di Camerino, Polo & Racquet Club and Valentino Rudy.

Chiang said Bonia expected its overseas contribution to double to at least 60% of revenue within three to five years from 30% now.

It has operations in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan.

“There are nine outlets in Saudi Arabia, with 13 new outlets to be opened by end of next year. While in Vietnam, a few counters are scheduled to be opened on Dec 16,” said Chiang.

On its financial outlook, he said Bonia was confident of a double-digit growth next year. It posted a 71% rise in net profit to RM13.8 million in the year ended June 30, 2006 from RM8.1 million in the previous year.

攫取游客剧增商机 宝利机构明年设7新店 2006/12/07 10:43:17

(吉隆坡6日讯)宝利机构(BONIA,9288,二板消费产品股)放眼明年在大马开设至少7间新店,以攫取2007大马旅游年游客人数预料显著增加所带来的商机。

宝利机构董事经理张兴庆表示:“宝利机构已为即将剧增的游客人数,作足万全的准备,并将在策略性的地理位置,开设更多的新分店,以及推出符合游客品味的产品。”

他是在该公司今早举行的股东常年大会上这样表示。

他披露:“每家新店的投资款额,将介于50万令吉至100万令吉之间。”

除此之外,他也表示:“目前,宝利机构在沙地阿拉伯拥有9家分店,并将会在明年年底,另设13家新店。而宝利机构也将会于本月16日,在越南开设几个新专柜。”

明年业绩料双位数增长

张兴庆也表示:“宝利机构预期,该公司的海外业务的营业额贡献,将从现有的30%,增加双倍至约60%。”

另外,张兴庆对宝利机构将会在明年取得双位数增长,深具信心。宝利机构在截至6月30日止,取得1千380万令吉的净利,较前期的810万令吉,增加71%。

目前,宝利机构在大马和海外,分别拥有超过300家和85家的分店。而其业务分布沙地阿拉伯、越南、印尼、泰国、中国、香港、新加坡、日本和台湾。

大马旅游局预测,明年前来大马观光的旅客,将达2千零10万人。而宝利机构则预测,今年的游客人数,将会增加6.7%至1千750万人。

Going Global: Successful brands deserve better value ( BONIA & PADINI )

Malaysian companies with successful retail brands are trading at rather low valuations. Could it be because we prefer expensive foreign brands over local ones and do not value companies with successful local brands? The probable reason is that these companies are not well covered despite the fact that they have posted impressive growth in the last few years.

Tables 1 and 2 show that the two most successful Malaysian retail companies with strong brands and overseas exposure are trading at an average price-earnings ratio (PER) of only 6.9 times compared to the average PER of 16.9 times for selected foreign companies. More popular Hong Kong brands like Esprit, Giordano and Benetton are trading on FY2007 PERs of between 15 and 17 times.

Building a brand takes time and money. Positioning is also important because these Malaysian brands have to compete with many local and foreign brands. Some Malaysian brands like Bonia and Padini have successfully ventured overseas.

Bonia specialises in high quality contemporary leather goods. It also employs an Italian designer team that tracks the latest fashion in Europe. It makes its own leather products in Malaysia to ensure high standards. Its high quality, good designs and consistent promotions have paid off.

In the last four years, the company's revenue and pre-tax profit have grown by an average compound annual growth rate of 24% and 44% respectively. Its pre-tax profit margin was healthy at 9.8% for the first three months of FY2006/2007 (higher than 7.8% for Padini), a testament to its brand's pricing power.

More impressively, Bonia has successfully penetrated the Asean and Middle East markets. Its franchisee in Saudi Arabia is expected to double its outlets from 12 to 24 in 2007. Bonia is also represented in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, China and Japan. Bonia's yield is also attractive at 5% for FY2007. It has the lowest PER rating among retail brands in Malaysia, with a projected FY2007 PER of only 4.5 times, significantly lower than a FY2007 PER of 26 times for Coach, a US-listed leather goods company.

Padini was known for its menswear in the past. It has since ventured into selling shoes and mainly fashion and accessories for women. The competition in the menswear industry is a lot more intense and companies like Orlando and John Masters, which specialise in menswear, have not fared as well. Perhaps it is true that the more beautiful half of the human race needs to spend more to keep up with appearances, financed in part by sloppy men.

Its footwear division under the brand name Vincci now accounts for around 40% of revenue. Its made-in-Malaysia footwear is stylish yet more affordable. It has four brands under its fashion division catering for mainly women. Padini has also branched overseas with outlets in Indonesia, Hong Kong and Dubai but its overseas contribution, at 3% of FY2006 revenue, is lower than that of Bonia at 28%.

It is difficult to build international fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Versace and so on. Nevertheless, it is commendable that Bonia and Padini have used their domestic strengths to venture overseas with some success. The fashion world is rather competitive and perhaps even vicious as illustrated by the rather amusing title of the film The Devil Wears Prada. But it appears that success in the retail world comes from the ability to evolve, position oneself in an appropriate niche and market effectively. Bonia and Padini have done this successfully. Their brands and impressive growth are worth more than what their ratings suggest.

Bonia's Bounty

A must-have for young executives, Malaysian brand Bonia maintains two Italian designers in Europe who keep it classy but up to date.

After 32 years, Bonia has become synonymous with classy yet affordable Italian-flavoured fashion.  

Bonia encapsulates the entire wardrobe from men and women’s wear to leather goods and sensational handbags that wouldn’t look out of place on Milan’s catwalks. Indeed, it is this obsession with fine workmanship and attention to detail that gave Bonia its name.  

The word Bonia is inspired by the Italian gianbologna, which refers to the exquisite details and fine craftsmanship found in renaissance sculptures. Bonia started in Singapore in 1974, before decamping to Kuala Lumpur four years later where it has been headquartered since.

The company has diversified its labels. First came Bonia, then Bonia Uomo for Men, followed by the mid-range, executive wear Sembonia, and Carlo Rino for ladies’ handbags, shoes and accessories.  

Bonia is now so established and well respected that it has convinced world-famous brands to grant it the licence to manufacture their products. These labels include Balenciaga (bags and shoes), Roberta di Camerno (wallets, purses, bags), Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club (ladies’ bags and pocket items), Valentino Rudy (men’s apparel, shoes, accessories), Ungaro (men’s apparel), Carven (men’s apparel), Saville Row (men’s apparel) and newly acquired Charles Jourdan.  

So the next time you jet to Paris or London, you may well end up buying prestigious goods that are made in Malaysia.

CITY KALEIDOSCOPE 2006/7

Bonia’s latest collection revolves around strong colours, interesting graphics and a mixture of textures from fur to suede. The animal feel gives it a tactile mood with a touch of furriness and faux fur.
