Silver Bird Group Bhd isventuring into micro lending services by leveraging on its largecustomer base of retail and sundry shops, sources said. Sourcessaid the company had received approvals from the authorities to lendmoney to small and medium enterprises and individuals. Ifit materialises, financing services would be the group’s third businessactivity after its principal activities of manufacturing breads andsale of top-up cards. “They have a sizeable existing base of clientele of outlets, sundry shops and that would be the market for lending money. "This is part of the government’s effort to address “ah-long” problems,” a source told FinancialDaily. Whencontacted, Silver Bird managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Han Kookdeclined to comment and neither confirmed nor denied the matter. Silver Bird now has over 12,000 outlets nationwide, with plans to grow it up to 15,000 by year-end. However,it is unclear if the plan could be curtailed due a restriction under atrust deed in relation to its seven-year RM70 million serial bonds,which prohibits it from investing in any business that is not in thesame business as that of Silver Bird's. SilverBird posted a net loss of RM48.23 million in the last financial yearended Oct 31, 2006 due to impairment losses and write off of assets, onthe back of a higher revenue at RM597.99 million against RM484.71million previously. Itmade a provision of impairment loss of RM28 million as the budgeted netcashflow or operating profits from the cake and frozen products weresignificantly lower than expected. It wrote off RM7.8 million due tothe fixed assets from the discontinued bakery cafe business. SilverBird had said its sales in cake and frozen products had declinedsignificantly and the trend was not foreseen to reverse in the nearfuture. Its consumer food or bread segment contributed 25% to revenue while telecommunication products accounted for 75%. Atpre-tax level, the group's consumer segment posted a loss of RM37.84million, while its telco products recorded a RM3.36 million profit.

陳志遠也是大股東之一,看來這間虧本的公司是有一些動作,但以現在的交易量來看,股價上升的速度會慢......

它這個月會公布業績,去年虧了4千8百萬,NTA還有0.56,現在的股價不到0.50,還拿到ISO22000,這么多動作,玩得過...

我也进了五粒，之前很早就看到报道説vt入主，不过市道不好，在50sen放了，现在又来死过！

小小吃饭钱而已！！

刚刚有人卖了1600多粒出来。。。

We refer to your letter of 20 March 2007 on the above matter.

We wish to clarify that the following quoted statements:

"Silver Bird Group Berhad is venturing into micro lending services."

We confirm that the Company is always on the look out for any new business ventures, for example exploring the provision of services to the micro lending business, as part of its continuing efforts to seek business opportunities that will enhance its competitiveness and broaden its capabilities.

"…had received approvals from the authorities to lend money to small and medium enterprises and individuals."

Upon due and diligent enquiry with all the Directors, major shareholders and all such persons reasonably familiar with the matters about which the disclosure is to be made in this respect, we deny the above statement.

"..the plan could be curtailed due to a restriction under a trust deed in relation to its seven year RM70 million serial bonds, which prohibits it from investing in any business that is not in the same business as that of Silver Bird's."

We also confirm that the above statement is a common term in the trust deed and we will ensure that the Company does not breach any term of the trust deed if we decided to provide the provision of services to the micro lending business.

We will keep Bursa Malaysia posted on the latest development, if and when the Company does exploring the provision of services to the micro lending business.

　　中新网10月13日电 据诺贝尔奖官方网站消息，10月13日当地时间上午11时(北京时间17时),瑞典皇家科学院诺贝尔奖委员会宣布将2006年度诺贝尔和平奖授予孟加拉银行家穆罕默德·尤纳斯及其创立的格拉明银行。

　　格拉明乡村银行模式是一种非政府组织从事小额信贷的模式。格拉明乡村银行创建于1974年，80年代在政府支持下转化为一个独立的银行，但其实质上仍为非政府组织。格拉


明以组为基础的农户组织，要求同一社区内社会经济地位相近的贫困者在自愿的基础上组成贷款小组，相互帮助选择项目，相互监督项目实施，相互承担还贷责任；在小组基础上建立中心，作为进行贷款交易和技术培训的场所；无抵押的、短期的小额信贷，但要求农户分期还款，定期参加中心活动。对于遵守银行纪律、在项目成功基础上按时还款的农户，实行连续放款政策。经营机构本身实行商业化管理，特别是以工作量核定为中心的成本核算。
　　小额信贷在70年代发端于孟加拉国，它是满足穷人信贷需求的一种信贷方式，贷款对象仅限于穷人，额度很小，无需抵押。自创立以来，小额信贷受到了穷人的热烈欢迎，迅速推广到亚洲、非洲和拉丁美洲的许多发展中国家，成为一种非常有效的扶贫方式。各国根据本国特点逐步创新出新的小额信贷模式。　
　　诺贝尔和平奖由瑞典慈善家诺贝尔在一世纪前创立，以表彰那些“为了发展两国之间的友好关系、为了消除或减少军队数量，以及为了维护或促进和平做了最多或最好的工作”的人。
　　几十年以来，获奖者的范围在持续扩大，在人权领域或环境保护领域内有突出贡献的人都可获得此奖。诺贝尔和平奖的获奖者会得到媒体的广泛关注，以及1000万挪威克朗(约合137万美元)的奖金。2005年诺贝尔和平奖由联合国国际原子能机构及其总干事、埃及人巴拉迪获得，这一年也是广岛和长崎原子弹爆炸60周年。(关新)

他以前和现在买的价钱会超过50分！现在价钱应该还安全！

成功资本（BJCAP，4499，主板金融组）独资子公司以每股44仙价格，向银鸟集团（SILVER，7136，主板消费产品组）收购400万股的股票。
　　另一方面，该公司另一间子公司--Berjaya Sompo保险有限公司，由2002年6月22日至2007年2月22日期间，以570万令吉价格或每股平均54.4仙的价钱，收购银鸟集团的1048万8000股股票。
　　成功资本称，有关投资意味着它以合理参股成本，而持有对方公司的大批股本。
　　该公司指称，有关收购价格乃较该公司每股面值50仙的股票微高，但却较在截至2005年10月31日为止业绩中的每股约85仙的综合净资产低。
