The homegrown steel pipe distributor serving the offshore and marine sectors, is seeking a listing, with plans to use proceeds to expand its product range and marketing reach. CosmoSteel, which had revenues of about $55.9 million in the year ended September 2006, sources and distributes steel or stainless steel pipes, fittings and flanges. Its products are used mainly in offshore rig building and onshore energy facilities, as well as in shipbuilding and ship repair.

Customers include companies from the Alstom Group and Keppel Corp, as well as other smaller firms. Over the last 3 years, CosmoSteel has earned about three-fifths of revenues from Singapore-based customers. About 5% came from Europe-based customers, with the remainder from neighbouring countries Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

CosmoSteel Holdings在截至2013年9月30日的FY13录得营业额从FY12的1亿5,500万元的微增至1亿5,570万元，主要是因日本客户带来的销售收入增加3,560万元，但增幅因新加坡业务的收入减少2,650万元而被抵消。尽管本财年的收入提高，毛利下跌了12%至2,920万元，由于定价竞争激烈令毛利率缩小。其他开支达到60万元，主要归咎于实现及未实现的外汇换算亏损。反观FY12是取得外汇收益。公司的盈利因而从FY12的1,110万元下跌42.4%至640万元。

启示：鉴于环球经济局势不明朗，公司预期其所处的本地及环球市场均会依旧充满挑战及竞争。公司建议派发每股0.01元的免税末期现金股息，这意味着其派息率为41.5%。

个人觉得此股六百多万的盈利对一间上市公司来说是很少的，另外他的负债是蛮高的，是负现金公司。
目前手上有一些股是与现价持平的，应该不会长期持有。
