The OnePlus 3 does not make full use of its 6GB RAM. Here's why.
Impressed by the 6GB of RAM in the OnePlus 3? Well, don't be as the phone does not take advantage of all its RAM.
According to OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, the company decided to limit the amount of RAM used by the phone to maximize battery life and deliver "the best user experience". The official statement comes after users realized that the OnePlus 3 could not handle more than three or four apps simultaneously.
To appease power users who want to use all 6GB of RAM, Pei states that the company will be making its kernel available to third-party ROM developers so that they can have the option to do so. If you're hoping to purchase the OnePlus 3 in Singapore, it can be purchased via the offline retail stores and its online store in July 2016.
When and where?
OnePlus announced the local availability of the OnePlus 3 – it will be available in Singapore from 30th July 2016, and it can be purchased via offline retail stores and its online web store. Both online and offline purchases do not use the OnePlus "invite system", and are therefore readily attainable.
