首先要聲明的是,這部被我們動手玩的 G Pad 8.3 不是其上市版本,LG 仍然很有可能對它的軟體作出改動,但這次的動手玩至少給了我們一個機會去預期一下它到底是怎樣的。G Pad 是屬於 LG G 系列旗下,即屬於旗艦機的類別,與 Optimus G Pro 和 G2 看齊,事實上它就像一部放大了的 LG 旗艦手機。它給人的觀感是不錯的,背面是以銀色鋁金屬製成,跟旁邊的黑或白色膠製邊緣成了一個鮮明對比。螢幕方面,它的色彩亮眼,可視角度很好,跟 Optimus G Pro 身上所見的效果相似。
拿上手的手感方面,它 338 克的重量是非常輕,在場的 LG 代表更指出有一些硬封面書本比較更重。重量較輕也表示了單手握著變得更易,我們的動手拿也發現它輕得「有點不實在」的感覺,是正面的不實在呢。它的重量配合著 126.5mm 的厚度使到它的握感舒適,甚至更可以被放在西裝的內袋中。有趣的是,LG 之所以得出了這個尺寸決定,是因為他們考慮了由南韓政府所提供的平均手掌尺寸而定。
