在MUW看到这个。。。他们再次举办考ecodiver。。。。

他们的价钱是RM750不包括吃和住。。。

Therewill be TWO compulsory sessions in KL before going to the island forthe underwater assessment and certification dives. The objectives ofthese sessions are:

Session 1: Buoyancy and Skills. This will basically involve buoyancy assessment and finning skills at the pool.

Session 2: Introduction to Reef check and survey methodology. This is agrilling classroom session on how to do the survey, which reinforcesthe need for good buoyancy and concentration on survey methods which wesometimes tend to forget like:-

o Keeping to the 2.5m width from the transect line - i.e. how to measure it and stick to it for the fish and invert surveys  
o How to do the fish survey – practice stopping every 5 meters for 1 minute (and NOT MOVING while doing so)  
o How to do the invert survey – practice the ‘S’ shaped pattern - keeping it tight  
o How to do the substrate survey – practice using the plumb line and not having to pull and tug at the transect line  


Pricesfor the EcoDiver training remains the same @ RM 750 (but this isassuming that the dive centres have not put up their prices fordiving). The RM 750 is for the certification course ONLY.Accommodation, meals, and ferry transfers are NOT included.
Theisland sessions will be for 3D/2N and will include review onidentification, underwater assessments, final (theory) tests and a mocksurveys.

Proposed dates for the next EcoDiver training and certification will be as follows:-

Pool session 1: Saturday 4th October (should not be a problem for those not celebrating Hari Raya)
Pool session 2: Saturday 11th October
Island trip: Weekend of 17-19th October (just before the dive season comes to a close)

Venue for the pool sessions and reef check network dive center to hold the certification dives have yet to be confirmed.

Ibelieve that this course will prove beneficial, not only because youhave learnt to conduct surveys to monitor the health of the reefs andare able to identify certain indicator species of fish, inverts andsubstrates, but you are also able to improve on good diving techniquessuch as:-

- being more critical of your buoyancy and finning,
- being more aware of your dangling dive equipment (gauges and octi) that may drag onto the corals,
- air consumption
- and general fitness

Butif you are interested, do let me know by starting a list of names hereand I shall advise you on payment details in due course.

如果大家觉得这个 EcoDiver 又不是什么可代替 AOW 或其他专门的课程，而且学费加食宿和船票要千多元是太贵了。也许你没有错，但大家知道吗？只是今年有六个三天两夜的 SIP (Reef Check)团，全程由 Sime Darby 赞助，如果有时间可以每一个团都去参加。这个月，也有停泊岛的潜水中心赞助另一个 Reef Check。大法师，桢乐，机车女孩和我将会去。是的，你没有看错，是免费的！

为什么需要考 EcoDiver 的资格？Reef Check 是总部设在洛杉矶的环保组织，一向来收集珊瑚礁的普查资料，分析过后再呈现给有关国家的政府。


当 EcoDiver 的理由：


1）你的浮力控制一定会进步。当 EcoDiver 做珊瑚礁普查的时候，需要尽量靠近珊瑚礁而又不会对珊瑚带来破坏。

2）你对海洋生物的认识一定会进步，从此潜水不再会有闷的感觉了。

3）是时候回馈被我们破坏的地球了，你会觉得每一个潜水次数都是很有意义。

发觉这里有不懂英文的网友，所以锥齿鲨说要去考训练教官的资格。然而，奉劝大家一句，如果大家只等别人来帮你，我相信效果会是有限的。

你是去年六月考的吗？我刚刚拿而已， 三天两夜， 费用810住宿和考费。吃应该可以控制在100内，如果从KL去来回大约140。我考时只是去听了一堂课，就进岛了。并没有什么buoyancy test。可以说，很简单就可以pass了。只是在马来西亚应该很少trainer吧！能给ecodiver license的没几个。

我认知的eco-trainer有六位了。。其他我就不懂。。可能我们不知道而已。。因为很少人知道有这样的东西存在。。
所以你赶快去考trainer， 然后给我们免费training...

不可能会有免费的训练，除非你像我们是 Sime Darby 赞助的 SIP (Sustainable Island Program) 。

我会在年尾加入 trainner 的训练，为的是可以让不谙英文潜水员也可以对环保贡献一份力。

梦女，你什么时候要加入 EcoDiver 的行列？

dreamgirl 你说得好，但本人现在资金短缺，要去潜水都要想想一下，有钱也会去拿AOW。。 ..其实Julian也有跟sime darby合作，所以有时候也会有免费的潜水（reef check)，还有marine park每一年都会举办COT clean up如果认识marine park officer的话也有免费潜水哦！！
