Top 10 midfielders Liverpool and Spurs should consider signing
1. Erik Lamela This deal looks very much in the pipeline for Spurs with the club reportedly close to signing the young AS Roma man. The 21-year-old Argentine has been a revelation in Serie A with his performances exciting many pundits and experts alike. He managed to showcase his talent on various occassions last seaosn, finishing third of all Serie A players in terms of successful dribbles, which will be music to the ears of the White Hart Lane faithful. Lamela has also made an impact on the international scene with two caps to his name already for his national side Argentina. If this deal comes to fruition, Tottenham have quite a player on their hands and he could help them push for that elusive Champions League spot.
2. Willian Now this is a player who has been heavily linked with a move to both Liverpool and Tottenham over the last few weeks. His current club Anzhi look set to offload a number of high profile players with Willian amongst the crop set the leave the Russian outfit, despite only moving in January. Reports have now hit the media that Spurs look set to win the race for the creative left winger, particularly with the rumoured departure of Gareth Bale seemingly imminent. This will be a big blow to Liverpool following their profiled pursuit of the Brazilian, but Tottenham look to have hit the jackpot. Willian will be a perfect replacement for Gareth Bale with his pace in abundance, unpredictability and tendency to terrorise defenders with his dribbling attributes and trickery. 3. Miralem Pjanic(@baguspenyu ,这个是?) Another Roma player who has been linked with a move to England is Bosnian Miralem Pjanic. Once again Tottenham have been the club heavily linked with the midfielder, but either side could do with the 23-year-old at their club. It was at Lyon where he managed to make a name for himself, becoming an important cog in the club’s first XI. Things haven’t gone according to plan at Roma, but he is a player with massive ability and the potential to be a world-class player. Pjanic already has 40 caps for his country Bosnia and Herzegovina which goes a long way to show what he is capable of. 4. Alvaro Vadillo The young Spaniard has seen himself compared to the great Cristiano Ronaldo which tells you a little bit about what this kid is about. Vadillo is famed for becoming the youngest player to ever appear in La Liga at the tender age of just 16 years 11 months and 16 days, which is no mean feat. Since then he has managed to display his raw talent against tough opposition and draw praise from all involved in football. Spurs have been linked with the 18-year-old for most of the summer and he could be the ideal replacement for Bale in the long-term. He has all the strengths to be a big hit in England and speak the language to, so I’d snap him up!
5. Angel Di Maria The Argentine has become disillusioned with life in Madrid with his starting berth all but removed from him with other players taking over his role in the starting XI. As a result he has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, and also reported included in many a transfer offer made by Real Madrid for Gareth Bale as a makeweight. Di Maria is a player who I feel could do a job for both Liverpool and Spurs with his natural ability to be one of the best wingers in world football. His development has come to a halt but if either club were to rekindle his form of previous years, he could become quite a hit in the Premier League. 6. Christian Eriksen Ajax playmaker Eriksen has been admired by all top sides in England for many a transfer window now. Both Liverpool and Spurs have been looking to strengthen in the middle in this youngster could be the man for their answers. The 21-year-old is already a key part of the Ajax starting XI and has 37 Danish caps to his name despite his age. Eriksen would find the transition to English football a challenge but I am sure he could become a top player in the Premier League. 7. Will Hughes Derby’s wonderkid has been making noises in the Championship for some time and has seen big clubs sniffing around for him. Still only 18-years-old, he had managed to establish himself at Derby as a key player for both the present and future. Hei s your typical flair player and has bags of confidence on a young pair of shoulders which is a breathe of fresh air. In terms of looking towards the future, it would be recommended that one of the two snapped Hughes up, he will be worth a lot more soon. 8. Gareth Barry The England international has a huge question mark regarding his future with his Manchester City career remaining in doubt. With this in mind, it has alerted several Premier League sides to his services, and I feel he could do a job for either side. Personally, I think Barry is still a good player and would add a new dimension to either side, particularly at Liverpool, to give attacking players more freedom. Time will tell whether he decides to stay at Eastlands, but if not, I would suggest either side make a move for him. 9. Yohan Cabaye Currently subject to a bid from Arsenal, Cabaye has made a name for himself during his time at Newcastle. He has become the heart and soul of the Magpie’s midfield, with his ability to dictate games from the middle showcased throughout his time at the club. With PSG and Arsenal showing keen interest in the Frenchman, it goes to show how much ability the 27-year-old has. If either cash-rich PSG or Arsenal fail in a bid, Liverpool and Spurs should swoop in for the tenacious player. 10.Kaka The former World Player of the Year seems to have completely fallen off the radar in recent seasons. His time at Real Madrid has severely hit a stumbling block and he is horribly out of form. However, under the current Kaka is the former Kaka, and what a player he is. If either side were to rekindle his former glories, they could have a serious acquistion on their hands. It would be a risk, but with Real Madrid seemingly open to selling the 31-year-old, who knows what could happen?
