The Board of Directors wishes to inform that at all material times, the MQ Board's discussion was focused on the acquisition of 70% stake in Kibaru, a private limited company based in Penang principally involved in manufacturing of rubber components. The Board was not aware that Kibaru is in talks with a Chinese pharmaceutical company potentially supplying of Covid-19 vaccine.
Nevertheless, after due enquiries, the Board wishes to clarify that Kibaru has extensive networking on pharmaceutical products in China that may potentially supply Covid-19 vaccine.
The Board took cognizance of the need for proper dissemination of information to the public and would release announcement on Bursa Securities on any material development on the subject matter on a timely basis as required by the ACE Market Listing Requirements of the Bursa Securities.
