THE Jalan Budiman recreational field in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras will be turned into a FIFA standard football field, thanks to Aset Kayamas Sdn Bhd and Sinerjuta Sdn Bhd.
Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad, who was present at the ground-breaking ceremony, said the recreational field would be relocated next to the Saidina Othman mosque.
“With this arrangement, over 70 car parking lots can be built for the convenience of visitors to both the fields.
“The football field will come complete with proper drainage system to avoid puddles and to maintain the quality of turf.

Also present at the ceremony was Kuala Lumpur mayor Tan Sri Mohd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz and Aset Kayamas chairman Tan Sri Chai Kin Kong.
Khalid said the developer agreed to build the football field following complaints that the replacement field built in 2016 was too far away. That replacement field was to make up for a 2.09ha land, which included a football field on Jalan Jujur, that taken for redevelopment.
“So the developer, under their community service initiative, agreed to build a football field at their own cost nearby.
“I hope this field will give a positive impact for the people, especially the local residents, to continue being active in sports and recreation,” he said.
