Vivacity Megamall, Jalan Wan Alwi when completed will change the retail landscape in Kuching. It is designed by a KL based architect firm of Archicentre, the same architect firm that designed the Setia City Mall at Shah Alam.
With careful space planning and inputs from top mall owners and some of the best retail brains in the country, Vivacity Megamall has been meticulously planned and designed with the shoppers' convenience, taste and preference in mind making it widely accepted by retailers.
Many retailers have confirmed their entry into this largest mall to be in Sarawak and among them, Major Anchors have all been confirmed with Parkson Corporation for the Departmental Store, TGV Cinemas for the Cinema Operator and Everrise Marketplace for the Supermarket.
During its signing ceremony with TGV Cinemas and Everrise Marketplace at Pullman Hotel this morning , Managing Director of Coramax Mall Sdn Bhd, Mr. Sim Yaw Hang disclosed among some of the Mini Anchors that have confirmed their participation into Vivacity are Level Up Fitness, KMax Karaoke, Kaison, Padini Concept Store, Brands Outlet, SenQ, Molly Fantasy, Kidzoona, CYC Mega Leisure, FOS & FOS Kids. A handful more Mini Anchors will be confirmed in the very near future, Mr. Sim went on to add.
Mr. Sim further revealed that among the major retail groups in the country that will have their presence in Vivacity are the Jerasia Group, the RSH Group, the Alstyle Group, the Padini Group, the Tomei Group, the City Chain Group, the Bonia Group, and Berjaya Brands.
What makes Vivacity exciting to shoppers in Kuching is the announcement of brands that are not in Kuching yet which would include Promod, Springfield, Aldo, Swarovski, H.E. by Mango, Violeta by Mango, Terannova, Calliope, Nautica, Samba, Vans, Bossini, Royal Sporting House, Focus Point Signature, Pepe Jeans London, Bee Cheng Hiang, myNews.com, A+, A-Look, Seen and Gong Cha. Mr. Sim also said that many more brands are in the pipeline and announcements will be made from time to time.
In terms of site progress, Vivacity is right on schedule to open for business in 3rd quarter of 2015 and when completed, will become the largest mall in Sarawak with more than 300 brands.
In terms of food selection, Vivacity will have 2 food courts, one halal food court and one non halal food court. The non-halal food court will present the widest possible variety of favourite local hawker food of Sarawak all in one place which will satisfy the gastronomical needs of the most demanding. The best of the best hawkers will be invited and selected to be the operators in this special food court, making this food court the first of its kind in Kuching.
Coramax aspires to make Vivacity Megamall the Mall in Sarawak.
