Oussama Assaidi’s Stoke loan edges Victor Moses closer to Liverpool
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is in no mood to give away his last minute transfer plans and that is likely to be the reason for his indirect silence on the matter when quizzed about media reports which suggest that the Reds are plotting a move for Chelsea forward Victor Moses. Liverpool have been linked with a loan move for the Nigerian, but when quizzed about the deal by The Metro, the Liverpool boss remained coy choosing to parry the questions instead of answering it.
Rodgers said: “We have got targets. There is speculation around many names and while the window is open we will continue to look to improve the squad. We will hopefully come out the back of it with a stronger group…The idea is to strengthen it that little bit more and hopefully we can do that.” Moses has been constantly linked to a loan move this season, after reports of his failing to feature a key part in manager Jose Mourinho’s plans. The Reds have been vying for reinforcements in the attacking third, and the Nigerian’s name has surfaced as being a potential addition to the squad. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals, Everton, have also been reported interested in a loan move for Moses.
