The Board of Directors of PENERGY wishes to announce that PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (PETRONAS Carigali) had confirmed that the contract awarded to PRSB for the provision of hook-up, commissioning and topside major maintenance services which was previously awarded for a duration of five years from 21 May 2013 to 20 May 2018, has been extended for a further period of one (1) year from 21 May 2018 to 20 May 2019 (“Contract Extension”). The Board of Directors of the Company, having taken into consideration all aspects of the Contract Extension, is of the opinion that the Contract Extension is in the best interest of the PENERGY Group. （吉隆坡26日讯）Petra Energy Bhd第三季净亏扩大，且为连续第二个季度蒙亏，因服务及生产与开发业务的亏损均走高。

Petra Energy今日向大马交易所报备，截至9月杪第三季净亏2697万令吉，或每股8.4仙，高于上财年同期的791万令吉，或每股2.46仙。

这部分被录得较高税前盈利的海事资产业务所抵销。该业务的税前盈利由40万令吉，增至190万令吉，归功于船只使用率提高。

季度营业额从1亿7099万令吉，跌30%至1亿1974万令吉。

疲弱的季度业绩，拖累该集团在2018财政年首9个月净亏4188万令吉，去年同期则净赚47万令吉；营业额由3亿4179万令吉，跌19.4%至2亿7559万令吉。

展望未来，Petra Energy表示，油气领域的市场情绪依然谨慎。

“集团将继续管理成本、提高效率，并探讨能源领域的机会。”

We refer to the above article appearing in The Edge Malaysia, Page 21 on Monday, 12 August 2019 in particular pertaining to the sentences which are reproduced as follows:- "Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is understood to have aborted the award of a multibillion-ringgit integrated hook-up and commissioning (IHUC) contract.............." "It is learnt that the incumbents undertaking the contract - ........................Petra Energy Bhd., among others - could be given an extension of up to a year on their existing contracts as a result of the cancellation." "We now hear the existing players, whose contracts were extended last year, have got another extension." Petra Energy Berhad (“the Company” or “PEB”) wishes to clarify regarding the extension for the 5-year contract for the provision of hook-up, commissioning and topside major maintenance services awarded to Petra Resources Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of PEB, from 21 May 2013 to 20 May 2018 (“Contract”). Pursuant to an option provided in the Contract, Petra Resources Sdn. Bhd. agreed to extend the contract duration for a further one (1) year period from 21 May 2018 to 20 May 2019. At this point in time, the Company is not aware of any further extension. Bhd., which in turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of PEB had on 31 December 2019 entered into a Barecon 2017 Standard Bareboat Charter Party (“Agreement”) with Star Chance Limited (“SCL”), a company incorporated in Republic of Seychelles, whereby PMSB has agreed to dispose one (1) unit of marine vessel, namely Petra Lyra (“the Vessel”) at a total sale consideration of USD6,000,000/- (United States Dollar: Six Million) only by way of providing finance lease to SCL for the period of thirty-six (36) months (“Charter Period”). On expiration of the Charter Period as stated in the Agreement with full instalment payment received, the ownership of the Vessel will be transferred to SCL and PMSB will cease to be the registered owner of the Vessel. The Board of Directors of Petra Energy Berhad wishes to provide the following additional information in relation to the Disposal of Marine Vessel:- The contract value of the hire of the Vessel by SCL for the 36 months period   There is no specific contract value for the hire of the Vessel by SCL for the 36 months (“Charter Period”) (“hiring”) as the said hiring is part of disposal arrangement of the Vessel as agreed between PMSB and SCL where SCL has agreed to pay PMSB, during the Charter Period the payment terms of up to the total disposal consideration of USD6,000,000/- as explained under items 1 and 2.4 of the Announcement. The basis of arriving at the disposal consideration of USD6,000,000/- other than ‘as is where basis’ The disposal consideration of USD6,000,000/- was arrived upon taking into consideration the market value as per the valuation report conducted on the Vessel in October 2019.
