Would like share the experience how bad using the YES 4G network in Malaysia. Wish to inform you never ever consider to register YES 4G internet service provider, you will feel regret the customer service they provide the blind talk only. The Penang Queensbay Mall sales lady name MS.Juriah Binti Mahamad Zainu of the person who promote me the ZOOM online package 20Mbps speed for 20GB monthly quote for RM158 mainly I using for IPTV and VDO to watching worldwide news and movie, she was online trace and checking my house under YES 4G Map coverage area confidence to told me without problem and in the contract committed minimum speed able to achieve 4 to 6Mbps (So confidence).
Why I still sign the package: The sales lady explain that YES 4G is 100% Wimax signal, we not other ISP 4G drop can drop to 3G. This is the YES 4G selling point cause take the package. My nightmare just begin.
Initially I use the internet for browsing without any issue, but when I use for the TV Box to watch the VDO or IP TV start to buffering. I feel very strange, then I start to trace the network speed, found the network speed is worst then my smartphone Digi 3G Network.
Checked on the contract YES service provider committed the network confidence minimum speed is 4 to 6Mbps. The speed I detect is 1Mbps to 3Mbps, the Max I only achieved 3.5Mbps then drop again. No meaning I get the RM158 package, just get the 1M unlimited usage package RM78 monthly. They claim that my area any building blocking will cause the speed drop. I only answer them my area is full coverage, Zoom modem signal is show 4 bar, and taller building is double story terrace, more higher is coconut tree. End out they no solution claim is my area too many people user cause the station bandwidth drop. Station bandwidth drop is end user problem? YES given the answer is 3 weeks times to upgrade the station bandwidth system. (Remark: The system can doing upgrade also can downgrade, once no people complaint downgrade again)
I do asking YES is fail to fulfill they contract, I suggest to terminate my contract tie for 24 months. But YES don’t accept it claim that you tie with them 2 year contract. Now I realize that YES 4G sales marketing strategic dirty plan keep hunting the consumer victim like this methods, once consumer step in traps will become they worm keep sucking your money get the bad service from YES 4G. They service is worst then Telekom Malaysia (TM), at least TM will send the Technician visit for people to cooldown first.

If customer are still not satisfied on the speeds, we would be able to offer the below which will be the Final offer that could be offered at this moment: Customer to pay discounted ETC of RM 800, Return the complete set of Yes device in good working condition, To submit the completed termination form and copy of NRIC, Once payment and device received, we will close the account and waived the balance of the charges.
1. Complain make through the phone customer care and service center never have solution. They only given you the answer our specialist is looking on your matter, then simply closing your complain report number. The complaint # YES-974975 and YES-962625.
2. I did many times of complaint until counter people look at me try escape me, the Northern region Service Center Mr. Anan advice try make complain through the MCMC. Just walk in to MCMC Butterworth branch meet with Ms.Fatin attending my case # 0497/03/15 (09/03/2015), make complaint above problem I facing with YES 4G speed. Feel like I getting cheat by YES 4G sales hope MCMC able to counter them immediate action.
She also advice if you not certify with YES 4G service provider given don’t doing any payment until YES 4G solve the case. Now a day MCMC still in mid investigation for case.
My request was simple YES 4G just terminate my account without any charge since YES 4G unable to fulfill they contract the confidence minimum speed 4Mbps to 6Mbps. I do consider the case is close.
3. After make complaint to the MCMC and CFM portal, YES the technical PR start to doing they work then trace on usage quota record no your speed record. They claim that I able to finish the internet quota consider they network no problem. Why they never trace on the speed record in the report, the SMDR (System Message Detail Record) or System log for what purpose? Why YES 4G always like to twist the complaint topic speed become quota?
4. The funny part is the CFM portal Reference # CFM/15/13/0202 (11/03/2015), I hope they able help me to counter the Telco companies to come out the win-win solution. They just see the report from Telco copy and paste for me. Come On I need the solution not the Post Man passing me the message like this. Stupid people doing the job can’t even counter the consumer need, CFM claim that if you still not satisfy please do report to MCMC. Really wasted TAX payer money, the GOV. setup the CFM department for useless.
5. After 1 months follow up with CFM and MCMC portal YES 4G priority group (07/05/2015) YES site Mr.Ali had called me said inform the base station had been upgrade the bandwidth request me performing testing. On that night 9:30pm YES technician called me provide me the temporary login ID: [email protected] for my modem access the internet. After configure the ZOOM modem success login the network for 1st time speed test Download Speed:3.42Mbps Upload Speed:1.25Mbps. Friday (08/05/2015) night 11:27pm, I turn on the ZOOM Modem again still able login internet for access. I do the same speed test Download Speed:2.15Mbps Upload Speed:1.24Mbps. YES 4G Mr. Shazwan state that: This stand firm as our Final resolution at this point for the customer and no further escalation for this case. With the above explanation, we will treat this case as resolved at our end. Meaning YES 4G not the Wimax Technology I believe wrost then 2G.
6. When consumer having the problem YES 4G never ever to send the technical people to assist you, you are not really taking care by them. Only phone call assist and bring in to YES 4G service center (How many service center have in whole Malaysia, think it yourself) You will become YES 4G technician feedback by call do troubleshoot yourself (DIY). Not value money pay for the service.
Up to date my case had been escalate until they YES 4G higher level and CFM & MCMC. (12/05/2015) 3 young lady represent YES 4G visited my house for signal verification and snap some photos for record purpose. Cause will meeting with YES 4G Engineer, MCMC person at MCMC office Butterworth branch.
7. Have to let more people complain through the MCMC & CFM, let YES telco company “Gantung Lisence”. I still believe use the public victim more and much efficiency.
I’m victim too. Do complaint correct channel through MCMC and CFM link below, if you unable resolve with your Telco service provider issue. Let the government sector to counter them, you are the TAX payer. Do forward this message for the YES victim.
