Top Glove leads the winners

TOP Glove Corp Bhd's subsidiary, Top Glove Sdn Bhd, walked away with the top honours at this year's Enterprise 50 (E50) Award.

The second and third place went to Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd and ABX Express (M) Sdn Bhd respectively.

Others which were in the top 10 ranks were Bintulu Edible Oils Sdn Bhd, United Logistics Sdn Bhd, Teras Teknologi Sdn Bhd, Gateway Option Sdn Bhd, TT Vision Technologies Sdn Bhd, Cape Technology Sdn Bhd and KEU Control Engineering Sdn Bhd.

Jointly organised by the Small and Medium Industries Development Corp (Smidec) and Deloitte Consulting Malaysia Sdn Bhd, E50 is an annual award aimed at promoting the success of local enterprises.

Telekom Malaysia Bhd and RHB Bank Bhd were the supporting sponsors, while Business Times was the official publication.

Fifty local companies were presented with the awards at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur last night for their outstanding performance.

The awards were presented by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz.

Also present were Smidec chairman Datuk Mohamed Al-Amin Abdul Majid and Deloitte KassimChan managing director Ahmad Mustapha Ghazali.

Speaking at an earlier press conference, Deloitte Consulting managing director Azman Mohd Zain said the judges had a tough time deciding on the winners for this year's award.

Azman said it took the judges months to evaluate and conduct assessments on the total 143 companies which took part this year before narrowing it down to only 50 companies.

As in the past, the manufacturing sector dominated the winners' podium with 29 places in the Top 50.

This was followed by four companies in the medical sector, three in information and communication technology, two each in wholesale/distribution and retail, and one in real estate/construction.

Five companies were from a variety of areas such as business process outsourcing and oil and gas maintenance.

“50家杰出企业奖” 顶级手套名列榜首2007/11/24 15:23:02

（吉隆坡23日讯）顶级手套在2007年第十一届“50家杰出企业奖”名列榜首。

这家生产胶手套，客户超过800人，业务遍布全球180个国家的公司，于昨晚的大型颁奖晚宴中接过上述奖项。

这家公司在我国、泰国及中国设有18间厂。

顶级手套在过去十年的销售额及利润成长平均达30至40％。

国际贸易及工业部长拿督斯里拉菲达为颁奖人。

今年，入选十大的企业包括：顶级手套私人有限公司；ABX快递；Bintulu EdibleOils私人有限公司；捷飞高科技私人有限公司；捷威宽频私人有限公司；KEU控制机械工程私人有限公司；麦丁（Mydin）莫哈末控股有限公司；Teras科技私人有限公司；TT Vision科技私人有限公司；以及统一物流私人有限公司。

2007年第十一届‘50家杰出企业奖’是大马德勤和中小型工业发展局联合主办，并由马电讯（TM，4863，主板贸服股）和兴业银行赞助的常年项目。而《商业时报》则是大会指定媒体。

今年，制造业为大赢家，50家杰出企业中占了29家。其次是药剂业（4家）、资讯通讯工艺（3家）、批发/零售业、专业服务、教育、物流/运输各2家、地产/建筑业1家。另5家来自其它行业。

德勤董事经理阿兹曼莫哈末再因说：“今年入选的企业的水平，不只较去年高，他们也很积极进军海外市场，并善于利用科技来加强营运效率或研发。”

前一、两个月林博士出来讲话，加上回购帮助，也不过让股价升到约RM6.70。
我看这次的得奖是不会对股价有什么影响的。。。

我在想，Top Glove会不会持续回购股票直到股价又站上RM6.50？现在搭搭顺风车会好吗？c56733兄觉得呢？

据我的观察，很多投资者在目前的价位都不大愿意进场。
私下配售已使到每股盈利冲淡，排除回购的力量，
近5元时是买入的良机。

燃油高涨对 Topglove 这种制造类型的企业非常不利

手套业者大都用天然气作为燃料。天然气价钱酝酿涨价，投资者可能担心盈利受影响。其实燃料只占制作成本的9%，就算天然气价钱涨20％，制作成本也只增加1.8％吧了。

不止燃料高涨
原材料 --树胶的价格也在攀升

latex就是真正的挑战了，latex占了制作成本的50%。油价高涨，人造胶的价钱跟着涨高，轮胎业者转而使用天然胶。需求增加导致天然胶和latex的价格攀升。Top Glove已经开始自己生产latex，供应本身的需求。可是我想真正能解决问题的源头就是买橡胶园，Top Glove曾经说过正在考虑适当的橡胶园收购对象。。。
