Starbucks outlet opens at KIA
KUCHING: Starbucks Coffee’s first outlet in the State located at Kuching International Airport’s (KIA) public concourse in the departure hall was declared open yesterday.
Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd’s marketing and communications senior manager, Sydney Quays explained that the outlet expected to meet the demand for specialty coffee from coffee-loving Sarawakians.
“Prior to this, we have three outlets in East Malaysia, which are all located in Sabah. However, with our store opening today (yesterday) in Kuching, folks no longer need to travel out of the State to enjoy a sip of the world’s finest coffee,” he said in a press release issued yesterday.
Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company, which is jointly-owned by Starbucks Coffee International and Berjaya Group Bhd, operates Starbucks retail outlets throughout Malaysia, which currently stands at 86 stores.
Meanwhile, at the soft launch yesterday, members of the media were treated to some of Starbucks’ best-selling products and even experienced a coffee-tasting session with the outlet’s store manager and ‘district coffee master’, Samsul Ezam.
Occupying 818 square feet, Starbucks KIA offers a variety of pastries, cakes, and salads, on top of its all-time favourite espresso and “Frappuccino-blended” coffee and cream beverages.
Starbucks KIA, which opens from 6am to 11pm daily, can seat 55 people at a time and offers customers free Wi-Fi service.
In conjunction with its opening, Starbucks KIA is giving away a 12 ounce ‘Starbucks-logo’ mug with every purchase of RM30 and above.

对啊，今天坐飞机时被我发现，可惜来不及品尝就人在JB了。。
好开心哦，古晋至少还有多两三间的市场。。
单是巴生河流域就有30间starbucks.. |
