RECEIPT OF LETTER OF AWARD FROM MINISTRY OF INFORMATION MALAYSIA
RECEIPT OF LETTER OF AWARD FROM MINISTRY OF INFORMATION MALAYSIA FOR THE
REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING FM RADIO TRANSMITTER SYSTEMS INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WORKS
FOR JABATAN PENYIARAN MALAYSIA, KEMENTERIAN PENERANGAN MALAYSIA
INTRODUCTION
The Board of Directors of Comintel Corporation Bhd ("the Company" is pleased
to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Comintel Sdn Bhd ("CSB" has
received a Letter of Award dated 4 December 2007 from Ministry of Information
Malaysia for the replacement of existing FM radio transmitter systems including
associated works for Jabatan Penyiaran Malaysia, Kementerian Penerangan
Malaysia for a total contract sum of approximately RM19.99 million.
DURATION OF CONTRACT
CSB shall satisfy the scope of work stipulated in the abovementioned Letter of
Award within 34 weeks from the date of the acceptance of the Letter of Award.
FINANCIAL EFFECTS
The abovementioned Letter of Award valued at approximately RM19.99 million is
expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the Company for the
financial year ending 31 January 2009. Notwithstanding this, the abovementioned
Letter of Award is not expected to have any material effects on the share
capital and shareholding structure of the Company.
DIRECTORS AND MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS' INTERESTS
None of the Directors or major shareholders or persons connected to the
Directors or major shareholders has any direct or indirect interest in the
abovementioned Letter of Award.
DIRECTORS' STATEMENT
The Board of Directors of the Company is of the opinion that the acceptance of
the said Letter of Award is in the best interest of the Company.
