The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of HIL wishes to announce that Hil Medic Sdn Bhd (“Hil Medic”) has received approval from the Medical Device Authority (“MDA”), which is part of the Ministry of Health for the manufacturing of its 3 ply surgical grade face mask and face shields. Hil Medic has recently obtained its ISO 13485 certification from Sirim QAS International Sdn Bhd for medical manufacturing and as such Hil Medic may now be a licensed manufacturer of medical devices. Hil Medic has also obtained the results for its face masks from external laboratories that complies with ASTM F2100 Level 3 and EN14683 Type IIR. The Board of HIL is confident that the venture of its subsidiary into the face mask and medical devices industry will contribute positively to the results of the Group.
