考完了PMR，我想要开始做一些关于form4的东西。所以我选择了从mo math开始。楼主的note真的很棒哦！我是前天才开始接触的，没想到这么快就遇到了不会的问题了。请问一下，谁可以教我一下吗？
chapter2 2.4 solving problem
1. the length of a rectangle is five times its breadth. when the length of the shorter side of the rectangle is increased by 10m, while the other length of the rectangle is decreased by 25m, the area of the rectangle remains the same. find the dimensions of the original rectangle.
2. john has a rectangular fish pond with an area of 1575m^2. if he reduces the length of one side by 30m and the other by 20m, the new pond will become a square. find the length of the new pond. |

length = L , breadth = B
L = 5B .....(i)
Shorter side = breadth = B , Longer side = length = L
Area of original rectangle = Area of modified rectangle
=> LB = (L-25)(B+10) ==> LB = LB + 10L -25B - 250
==> 5B = 2L - 50 .....(ii)
Solve (i),(ii)
2. john has a rectangular fish pond with an area of 1575m^2. if he reduces the length of one side by 30m and the other by 20m, the new pond will become a square. find the length of the new pond.
Let length = L , breadth = B
Area = LB = 1575 ....(i)
(L-30)(B-20) = 1 ....(ii)
(ii) : LB - 20L - 30B + 599 = 0 ==> 1575 + 599 = 20L + 30 B
==> 1087 = 10L + 15B ...(iii)
(iii) x L : ==> 1087L = 10L^2 + 15LB = 10L^2 + 15(1575) = 10L^2 + 23625
==> 10L^2 - 1087L + 23625 = 0
==> L = 30.0308 or 78.6692
==> (L,B) = (30.0308m,52.4461m) , (78.6692m,20.0205m) |

请问一下，length & breadth怎么分？较长的是length吗？不会意思，我满笨下，到了中三还不会分长和宽。。。>.<||| |

length = 长 ， breadth = 宽
没有说谁比较长谁比较短的。 |

楼主真强....想当年考STPM DOUBLE MATHS的时候真的每天都做练习,差不多把整本书的练习做完了...再加上老师都很用工地教,完全不用补习都可以拿到A1,真的是谢谢老师~~~~ |
