不过从政治角度来看，新加破近日的大举提高公务员和部长薪金，显然是一种政治手段，因为新国的政权主要是建立在所谓精英集团，高薪不但是养廉，（他们说的）最重要是PAP 要有一批忠实支持政府的集团，所谓精英集团。近日的大举加薪（对所谓精英）目的是明显的要进一步巩固政府对国家的政治控制。

从开头（４０年｀前）李光耀就力主只有高级的英文教育者才有资格统治国家。因为高薪，吸引了临近国家的人才（但是很有限，因为市场小）而他们自己的培训的人才不少流去外国（李光耀近日讲的）

我比较喜欢马来西亚的政策和制度。有人歌颂一个去新加坡做了国会议员的所谓精英大马女人。但是，周美分黄燕燕呢？

周美芬是中国报记者出身，叶炳汉以前是地方议会的小书记，华文抱记者，小书记，在新加破那里是精英，那里有机会爬起来。

所以我是喜欢大马的情况，一个普通的人也有机会。不必英文瓜瓜叫，政治人物来说，来自群众的干部，往往会更了解民间的痛苦。叶炳汉常穿便服，坐在经济茶档和村民一同喝茶。。。。。这是大马的
可贵风格。

Hi all, it is my conscious that has directed me to submit this message after a tear ridden past two days of watching the suicide clips. Though afraid for my safety from the PAP - the ruling political party (the Government), I cannot sleep thinking the general population does not know the truth. I am a civil servant who has been sacked recently for my views on humanity and one who has much valuable information. Let me start of by saying that almost all suicide cases in the last six years were under the care of the CDCs(Government Social Welfare Department) or rather under their watch. Please note that CDCs despise anyone approaching them for financial assistance hence, they are usually non-contactable or given the run-arounds. Some CDCs have automated voice answering systems that put you on hold for an hour and then cuts of your line. But the truth is the receptionist do not answer while they are busy chatting away among themselves. What is shocking is that these are instructions from the management circles. They have been instructed not to answer any calls and just put it on answering machines to discourage help seekers. This is a fact! Try calling Central CDC
Another thing is that when people personally get to the CDC for help, they are treated very badly. They are made to sign numerous documents. Declarations, undertakings and even permissions to circulate your personal data. Another words you sign your life away. Some of these people are medically unfit to work or have terminally ill diseases, but still have to sign their lives away. Their dignities are trampled upon by the CDCs. The staff at these CDCs are mostly young females who are as cold as penguins on an iceberg. They have no feelings for the down and out. What would you have left after signing your life away? Nothing !. If they are fortunate to be granted financial assistance for usually not more than $100 to $200 per month for a maximum of six months, their privacy, comfort and security will be compromised. Sudden visits by the CDC officers at their homes and saleable items will be taken for liquidation. Every member of their family will be investigated and their bank accounts are no more confidential. Even little savings of $10 in their piggy banks are confiscated. Even their friends will be investigated and called upon to assist in financial contributions. And oh by the way, every application put in takes slighly over a month for assessment. Even sick people have to sign documents which encloses numerous threats. Not only you should not have any income, but you shouldn't even have coins in your pocket.
I will try to find a way to upload the documents required to sign and you will find it extremely cruel and disgusting. It is almost a death certificate. I have personally seen an elderly man pleading with the officers for more than the $200 he was getting as he cannot manage. He was taken away by security only to have killed himself the next day.
Workfare! ah the in word now. What a con and misinformation by the authorities. Asked them for the documents to sign to qualify for workfare and you will be shocked. Elaborating will just take too much time.
Conclusively, the PAP is actually exterminating the sick and financially not well off in way that doesn't shock the civilized world just like hitler did. To them these are the economic undesirables. But before any one agrees with the PAP, I like to point out that as long as one is in debt through mortgage, credit card or hire purchase or whatsoever, one will also be sucked into the snare of the CDCs and might eventually land on the tracks of the oncoming train. This is not right and something must be done to stop the authorities before death reached our door step or the door step of our loved ones.
Finally, to all the PAP dogs, please stop resonating 66.6 % PAP supporters. I don't believe you had this much of votes. It is just a number you printed on your papers to fool the world.

Marked drop in elderly suicide rate last year

SINGAPORE: In the last five years, an average of 65 elderly people committed suicide each year in Singapore.
However, when the statistics for the last two years were compared, there was a marked drop in such suicides.
It went down from 77 cases in 2005 to 52 cases in 2006.
The elderly is defined as those above 65 years of age.
Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Dr Vivian Balakrishnan said the elderly suicide rate is 24 per 100,000 elderly residents, and this has been a relatively stable figure over the past five years.
National figures also show that male elderly suicide rates are consistently higher than that for females.
It is a conclusion that is consistent with research findings across different cultures.
Dr Balakrishnan gave the updates in his written answer to a parliamentary question raised by MP for Tampines GRC, Irene Ng.
As to the reasons for elderly suicides, Dr Balakrishnan said studies show that health problems and depression were the main reasons, and these apply to both genders.

[[[ If the elderly were well taken care of their health problems by the government as the Prime Minister has promised, then I do not see depression would have set in. Hence, to say that health problems and depression were the main reasons for the elderly suicides are excuses is to negate the promise of the government to take care of the welfare of the elderly, Dr Balakrishnan.
Dr Blakrishnan, you must know that CDCs does not provide financial aid sufficiently to the poor elderly to help them cope with their last days but with job to support themselves even at the age above 80. And for those who are not healthy enough to work, will you enlighten us as to whether the poor elderly are taken care of well enough so that they are not stressed enough to commit suicides?
Finally, God will ask you and the rest:"where is the money supposed to be set aside for welfare of the poor, the sick and the elderly gone to?". and the poor Singaporeans committing suicides in these videos:Video link:

我認同謝國忠的分析,但是我覺得新加坡也有他們的苦處.
大家都了解,再新加坡周圍的國家基本上都有一種嫉妒的心理,為什麼它可以這麼好?
在這種妒嫉的影響,加上新加坡政府的公關不佳,這就導致了他在區域的形象低落.
這造成了一種惡性循環,那就是新加坡為了抵抗這種嫉妒心理,更加的採取自利式的策略(有點像以色列的國策).
需要了解的是,以新加坡這個彈丸小國,他能夠發展的經濟非常有限,然而他所有的籌碼卻非常少,因此如果以他們的環境來看,能夠發展到這種程度已經是難能可貴的了,這是值得大家佩服的.

为什么没有听到大马国民申诉？

难道我们有伟大的＂吵鸡霉体走狼＂，那些在＂内暗发冷＂下吃咖哩饭的＂不安分分子＂没有享受到互联网？这是为什么。。。。？？？

没有听到大马国民的申诉，有没有搞错啊。别说报纸上，单单在这个CARI 的论坛，对大马政府的攻击，和讽刺的贴子，就已经不计其数，报纸上天天都有大标题的反对党新闻，怎能说没有。

倒是很少看到反映新加破实际情况的文章。隔壁有人说新加破是先进国家，你告诉我好了，先进国的家庭要住５００－７００ 方尺的组屋？物质供应奇缺，人民要老远去人家的国家买杂货？医药各方面更不必说了。
你看这段吧：

我住槟城，每两个周末都会去sg探望女友。

这些话。。。很怪。。

也许我都在seranggon，大巴窑那一带混，没看见此画面。。。

我只知道我的工厂给外劳和印度operator月薪RM380- 450。

每一次audit他们时我都很伤感。。。

家家有本难念的经！其实大马的某一些公务员也不是一样欺负一些不暗国语的年迈华族！工作态度令人不敢恭维。。。

我在新加破有亲戚有朋友。他们好到那里去。 过年的时候，他们的人排长龙７，８ 个小时过来这里买东西也甘愿，你解释吧。

泰国东西便宜，我们边区的人民有需要派队去泰国买东西吗？没有。相反的，是泰国人民来马走私一些他们认为贵的东西。

这里拿来分享。。。

我曾经在新加坡工作两年，虽然时间不算很长，他们自傲的心态我不想在这提了，他们怕输的心态可以去到一个令人无法恭维的地步。。。

例如 ：驾驶马赛地或是宝马等名车去排队争原本给于穷苦人家的东西， 排队争买大优惠的电器等。。。

反过来说，或许就是因为这种怕输的心态造就了新加坡目前的成就吧！我国呢？

他们没有什么成就。 每个人记得，当初他们要成为区内的高科技中心，结果呢／完了。（因为市场太小难和中国比）香港要回归时，他们非常兴奋，以为可以取代香港成为金融中心，到处宣传香港一给中国收回，那就完啦。结果呢，外国的大金融界不但没有撤离香港，反而从新加坡搬到上海，香港去。。。。。。
老李现在把一切希望寄托在那两个赌场，并且扬言必要时开多两个赌场，所谓高科技的人物，现在准备专科搞偏门生意了。

不过这都是以后的事，我们不必理。新加坡是一群所谓精英份子横行的地方。大马和中国都不可以象他们。（参阅上面贴出的文章就懂）

（我到过的红山区，和MARINE CRESCENT 吧，我那里住的下，兀兰的朋友住的较好，但是贵的离莆，不是普通新加坡人住的的起。）

感覺有人超不喜歡新,

個人認為那種人主要是曾經待過新被看輕而不滿新，


以下是喜歡新的馬人

對一些獨中生來說，馬的大學不認同統考，新的大學卻接收大馬優秀獨中生。
在馬難找到的人才工作，新有一大把工作給人才，沒有去新早就失業在家。
在馬才能不被重視，在新才能可以被重用。
在新如果能力不足，但是加上後天努力還是可以得到回報。

有些人本來是狗眼看人低，有實力跟能力的人就不怕被看輕，
只看有能力的新好過有些地方不管有沒有能力都被看低。

每個地方都一樣，有能力兼努力的人永遠會得到回報，
沒能力但努力的人一樣有回報。
總不能沒努力就要政府亂亂來養，不如移民歐美當米虫。
