Who are stupid enough to sell at these levels especially when the stock had just landed a sale for mre than 3/4 of their total market cap. People need to learn who to interpret news lol. Just like when they did their share offering to current shareholders.

Gotta give TB credit. His word is as good as a contract so far. He delivered the mail again and continues to offer shareholders of a penny stock the kind of transparency and integrity that is sorely missing from stocks on the big board.
My two favorite stocks are both penny stocks run by CEO's whose word you can take to the bank!
Goldman, B of A, AIG, ING, Citi etc... should all be taking notes. This is how you're supposed to run a publicly traded company.
I called him during that ill conceived capital raise when trading was halted for three days to ask him a few questions and wouldn't you know he actually returned my call and left me a voice mail!
The guy is impressive so far. He can't operate like this once SSN gets bigger but it's still impressive that a CEO of a publicly traded company returns investors' phone calls.

雖然SSN是間小公司，不過這位MD 真的是很照顧我們這些小股東。而且在這短短幾個月裡他答應的東西，如某某時要出PR，時間到就出，真的是很準時。
我對這間公司還有信心，可以的話買進SSN放投資/別做投機。 |

I have not experienced the degree of transparency that this company displays on an almost weekly basis with any other investment that I now hold (F CBI BAC BEXP) nor any I have held in the past. It is refreshing, instills confidence and makes this a long term investment as well as a short term trade with a portion of the shares, because their news - whether good or bad - has proven to be accurate in every instance. The transparency has allowed me to add to my core position three different times. While I am insulated to a certain degree by my cost basis, .71, I remain confident SSN will extract the best and most favorable value from their opportunities and assets. I think the shares deserve a premium for this reason alone.

They did exactly what they said they would do in their press releases and there is no reason to believe they will not continue. They even announced after the US market closed and before the Aussie opened with fairness to all, given the time differences. Very refreshing to know that management is protecting the shareholders interest, keeping them advised and extracting the maximum value for them, which instills confidence that this micro cap can be an investment rather than simply a trade. How the market reacts is problematic and always subject to many factors other than the stock's organic fundamentals but management has earned my trust, because of their integrity.

Samson Oil & Gas Brings Home the Niobrara Bacon

Originally, Samson Oil & Gas (SSN) was attempting to sell 24,000 net acres of a 40,000 net acre position. Here's the deal as it now stands:- $63.7 mm today, including the previously announced $10mm deposit for 19,451 net acres. This is in the bank and represents a per acre price of $3,275 and 0.77 per SSN share in cash.
- 1,920 additional acres are expected to be sold for $6.288 mm on September 20th.
With the approval of a drilling permit, which Samson expects to receive by the 20th, the sale of another 1,339 acres for $4.385 mm should occur.
Another 1, 056 acres have certain title defects that may or may not get resolved in time for the second closing, but if resolved would likely result in SSN receiving the upper end of the deal price band from when the deal was first announced ($79.1 mm).
Outside of the Niobrara, I would not be surprised to see SSN disclose sales of gas assets in Wyoming in the next 3 to 12 months and I've gone ahead and added that into my thinking as well, now that we have more recent promise and delivery action from management. There are still other areas, including producing (albeit small) assets in the Gulf Coast and in New Mexico (upcoming Bone Spring test) as well as other Rockies gas assets (Vermillion Basin) for which I am giving them no value as present. |

Nutshell: I am pleased to see the transaction apparently closing near the high end of the expected range and definitely above the low end. Still no word on the buyer, probably either EOG or NBL. The shares had previously walked up to the low end of my NAV range of $1.39 to $1.75 and with the successful closing of this deal and the additions to the model mentioned above I am moving my target to $1.90.
See the tables below for the impact on my back of the envelope near term NAV.

Ya, it has a billion shares in ASX, but that really doesn't mean its diluted. When it comes to outstanding shares, it truly has less shares than BEXP, but its acreage is competitive to most companies in Bakken play and once the Niobrara takes off, it can rival most liquid rich shale plays. As wells come online, SSN will have an influx of capital from production,allowing for more activity and acquisition. Plus with their Niobrara stuff, they are not spending anything to drill as they brought on their partner, so they will only be receiving money from this, with little exposure.
SSN is a good long term play. It could mirror BEXP a year and a half ago. Starting at 1 dollar and going up above 10 bucks in a year and a half time. SSN may be 10 bucks by December 2011, depending on price of oil and development/drilling success in the Niobrara.
Time will tell. |
