（吉隆坡15日訊）目前正在積極釋放資產價值的馬化控股（MPHB,3859,主板貿服股），有望從陸續出台的產業發展計劃中受惠，再加上子公司萬能企業有望進一步派發特別股息，將有助于加強該公司在產業發展方面的資金板凳深度，因此，分析員認為，投資者值得留意這只股項。

長久以來高度依賴子公司萬能企業的盈利貢獻的馬化控股，目前正在積極重組本身的業務營運模式，以便能更有效的釋放其強穩的資產價值，並為股東帶來更優厚的回酬。

基本上，馬化控股的盈利來源主要來自萬能企業，后者為該公司貢獻了超過85%的稅前盈利。其他兩項核心業務則包括證券業與金融服務業務。

在重組業務方面，馬化控股有計劃通過釋放其部分產業發展資產的價值，進軍產業市場，以及競標更多的大馬鐵路局（KTM）巴士整修合約，來強化其鐵路建築與發展業務的表現。

作為釋放資產價值的第一步，馬化控股有意將去年在檳城收購的一塊地皮，發展成一個總值7000萬令吉的中價住宅產業計劃。這項計劃預期將在08年初開工，為期兩三年，估計將為該公司帶來2500萬至2700萬令吉的盈利。

此外，該公司也可能與萬能企業以聯營方式，共同發展后者旗下的數項產業計劃。

另一方面，萬能企業在近期也宣布發售總數8億令吉的商業票據與中期票據，以便作為未來的營運資本用途。

拉昔胡申證券分析員認為，以萬能企業每年2億5000萬至3億令吉的流動資金，加上資本開銷需求不高，因此，該公司並沒有急需資金的問題。

所以，分析員相信，任何多余的資金最終可能轉化成股息派發給股東。這對身為母公司的馬化控股，將是好事一樁，因為這些資金將可加強其資金板凳的深度，替未來任何大型產業發展計劃進行融資。

由于產業發展計劃有望陸續登場，使得馬化控股從中受惠，加上萬能企業潛在的股息派發，為該股增添不少魅力。因此，分析員相信值得留意該股。

分析員認為，該股的合理價位在2.40令吉。任何業務擴充計劃或多元化行動，都將進一步強化其盈利表現，從而加強其股價的合理水平。

KUALA LUMPUR: Multi-Purpose Holdings Bhd raised its shareholding in its numbers forecast operating subsidiary, Magnum Corp Bhd, to 55.45% after it acquired 3.17 million shares in mid-August.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed MPHB acquired 2.03 million shares on Aug 15 and another 200,000 shares the next day.

After the recent acquisitions, its shareholding increased to 792.48 million shares.

Magnum¡¦s share price closed at RM2.82 and RM2.74 on Aug 15 and 16 respectively.

MPHB yesterday reported its second-quarter earnings for the period June 30, 2007 nearly tripled to RM118.13 million from RM39.81 million a year ago, driven by the consolidation of Magnum¡¦s financial results.

(BangkokPost.com) - The Bangkok South Criminal Court approved police's request to issue an arrest warrant for Surin Upatkoon, a major shareholder in Kularb Kaew Co on Thursday.

Police sought the warrant after Mr Surin failed to turn up twice to answer charges of illegally representing a foreign company, prompting police to believe that he is avoiding the trial.

Mr Surin, a Thai businessman based in Malaysia, where he is known as Lau Khin Koon, is accused of violating the Foreign Business Act 1999, which bars a nominee company from holding shares on behalf of a foreign company.

Kularb Kaew, of which he was a major shareholder, is the holding company allegedly used by Singapore's Temasek Holdings to take over telecom giant Shin Corp last year.

It was set up only days before Temasek announced its purchase of Shin Corp in January 2006.

Mr Surin's lawyer Pisit Dejchaiyasak said Mr Surin has the right to fight charges in court even after he faces arrest warrant.

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 43 million shares of Multi-Purpose Holdings Bhd (MPHB) were traded off-market yesterday at RM75.25 million or RM1.75 apiece.

The shares, which were transacted in several blocks, represented a 4.5% stake, according to stock market data.

The transaction price at RM1.75 each was the same as that done when 80 million shares or 8.4% were traded off-market last week.
MPHB has been in the limelight since last week after 80 million shares were done off-market, which was equivalent to an 8.4% stake.

A block of 45 million shares was traded in an off-market deal at RM1.75 each on Sept 26. The next day, an additional 35 million shares were crossed at the same price.

The Edge Weekly, in its Oct 1 edition, reported that Hong Leong patriarch Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan was selling his MPHB shares to investment funds.

Quek had purchased Magnum Corp Bhd’s block of 94.4 million shares in MPHB and also 94.9 million of its warrants for RM247.3 million on Feb 8.

MPHB managing director Datuk Surin Upatkoon was also in the limelight on news of a warrant of arrest from a Thai court for his failure to report to the Thai police on charges of allegedly representing Temasek Holdings in its takeover of Shin Corp.

However, Surin has denied that he is a nominee of any party in the Temasek-Shin Corp saga.

Surin holds an indirect stake of 27.12% or 258.88 million shares in MPHB. Casi Management Sdn Bhd, in which he has direct interest, acquired 42.97 million MPHB shares on March 27, according to the latest filings.

Meanwhile, a filing showed that ABN Amro Bank NV ceased to be a substantial shareholder in MPHB after it disposed of 18.47 million shares on Sept 26.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed that the 1.93% stake was sold by the bank in an off-market transaction. However, the filing did not state the remaining stake which ABN Amro held in MPHB.

On Feb 8, ABN Amro had emerged as a substantial shareholder with 50 million MPHB shares or 5.24% stake. The shares were then acquired through an off-market deal.

老哥，你有看過上一次泰國的電訊股事件嗎? 前首相家族賣股給新加坡上市公司事件，最終強制要他們買出股份，而且是虧老本賣給泰國政府。

泰國新政府的手法嗎?
如果有的話，這股小心為妙了。

你的逻辑有一些问题:

• MPHB是大马公司, not Thailand co.
• 虧老本賣? A lot of investors interest to buy... (including me)
• 只是影响 Dato Surin. Not the company. (Of course temporary on the share price)
• ...
• ...etc

我投资 “生意”, 不是 “股价”...
