之前老任的官網有歐﹐美﹐日三地官網的最新消息email通知服務﹐貌似這次wii新消息會通過官方email來發送給有申請的fans﹐我申請了個日本的﹐看到時有沒什麼新消息 |

如果再NEWZEALAND购买Wii的话，那么是不是warranty要回去原来的厂商claim?或者由international warranty? |

Three New Wii Titles Confirmed by ESRB

Whether it be a retail listing or an anonymous tipster, news of a new title in development often slips out well before the publisher is ready to announce its existence. In this case the source is the ESRB (search by platform to see them), which has confirmed the existence of three new titles for Nintendo's Wii simply by rating them.
The three titles are all aimed at younger gamers, and include The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (rated E10+) from Midway, VeggieTales: LarryBoy and the Bad Apple (E) from Crave Entertainment, and Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (E10+) from Vivendi. All are likely ports of their GameCube counterparts by the same name.
While titles such as these do help to fill out the system's release schedule, it is a little concerning to see the trend of porting current-gen titles (rather than putting money into original development) continue to grow. Hopefully these titles will put the system's unique controller to good use.

Miyamoto Hints at GameCube Wii-makes

In an interview with Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream, Mario's daddy Shigeru Miyamoto hinted that Nintendo may remake GameCube titles for Wii, altering the control scheme and upgrading the graphics in the process.
"The machine is based on GC," said Miyamoto. "We'll be upgrading the development tools, but GameCube code can be used for the most part as is. In that sense, I believe that it would be good to remake GameCube games for Wii, and that some titles would become better with the change to the Wii remote controller."
He also indicated that these games would be sold for much less than other titles for the system:
"Even now," continued Miyamoto, "[GameCube titles] are sold at used shops, so we don't feel we could sell them for full price. However, development costs have been taken care of, so we could probably sell them at a more accessible price. If we make it so that such GC to Wii remakes can be produced quickly, it's possible that many titles will also be released from third parties."
Whether these titles will be sold at retail or via the Virtual Console remains to be seen, although our guess is that they'll be sold at retail due to their size. Naturally the first such title from Nintendo is in fact The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, although we're guessing that future cheap-o ports will likely see fewer changes. Several third parties have already announced titles that are essentially ports of their GameCube titles with a few upgrades, so if Nintendo were able to lower the costs of doing so even more we'd no doubt see many more (hopefully worthwhile) ports.

"Nintendo has come up with a very clever strategy" - Gardner
Speaking exclusively to GamesIndustry.biz, executive VP and COO of EA's worldwide studios, David Gardner, has revealed that the publisher believes the console will retail for around US $170 in North America.
In an interview to be published later this week, Gardner said: "I've heard in Japan that the price is about $170, but I don't know if the price has been set in Europe yet."
Gardner went on to discuss the key differences between Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's new console, saying he was confident that the Wii will find its niche in the market as consumers' 'second' console.
"Nintendo has come up with a very clever strategy," Gardner said.
"They've made a choice which is great for the consumer. Now we're going to have a choice whereby consumers can buy a Wii, plus one other console."
Nintendo has so far declined to reveal exact details of a release date or price point for the Wii. However, the company has previously confirmed that the console will retail for less than US $250, and will launch before the end of this year - with shipments estimated to total 6 million by the end of March 2007.

是的﹐有個名稱的﹐我忘記了﹐是24小時讓玩家都能待機連接著網絡的系統方案。

Platform holder reaffirms its vision at Games Convention opening conference.
Nintendo has opened the massive Games Convention event in Leipzig, Germany, with an elaborate press conference which was light on new announcements, but which reaffirmed the company's market stance on extending the gaming demographic to new audiences with both the DS and the Wii.
The firm did not present any new information about the launch date or price point of the Wii, but did reveal two new software titles for the console - Battalion Wars 2, abbreviated as BWii, and Mario Striker Charge, a football title which was endorsed in a video message from German footballer Philip Lahn.
Both new titles are set to be playable at the Games Convention, which kicked off today and runs until Sunday, with over 150,000 consumers from around Europe expected to visit the show during that time.
Nintendo also took the opportunity to reveal that the DS Lite, which launched across Europe at the beginning of the summer, will be available in a new Pink colour from October 27th - a move which follows on from the massive success of the original DS console in pink.
The firm updated the audience on the success to date of the DS platform in this region, revealing that over a million units of the console have been sold in Germany alone, with 600,000 copies of Nintendogs (an incredible 60 per cent attach rate) and 150,000 copies of Animal Crossing. Brain Training, another of the firm's Touch Generations games, is repeating its long-term success in Japan with steady sales of 60,000 units per week in Europe.
Nintendo's conference will be followed at midday today by a conference hosted by Microsoft, where further details of the firm's plans in the run up to Christmas are expected to be announced. 刚刚看到新闻。。说nintendo在8月23号在德国举办一个名为“实现我们的诺言”的发布会 。。
但是不知道有没有公布Wii的价钱和发售日期。。

上周日兴都市集团证卷相关报道了Wii在日本的预想售价为19800日元，近日EA相关人员又透漏消息，Wii在日本地区的售价大概在170美元左右，但是他本人并不能确认这是否是最终的发售价格。
不过170美元左右与前几天我们知道的19800日元的价格几乎相同，但是在日本发售价格用美元来做单位有些奇怪，但是任天堂还是一直在努力，来增加他们的用户群来开拓市场。
如果只是170美元(RM646)，来到这里，价钱应该会再上吧？

Console to retail for less than 250 Euros
Whilst Nintendo has once again failed to announce the official price or launch date for Wii, the company's head of German operations has stated that he expects a price point below 250 Euro.
Attendees at the Leipzig Games Convention who were expecting an official announcement from the platform holder were disappointed, the company's lips remaining tightly sealed on exact launch plans at this stage.
Speaking to Reuters, Nintendo Germany's general manager, Bernd Fakesch, stated: "the price has not been decided yet, but I expect it to be...less than 250 euros." Fakesch further added that the exact launch date had not been finalised, but that the console would be appearing "in due course."
Nintendo has previously stated that the console will retail for less than US$250 (195 Euro), and as the speculation continues in the absence of official confirmation, EA's David Gardner recently suggested a price point of US$170 (132 Euro).
The only official confirmation available from Nintendo at this point however, is that the console will be the least expensive of the three platform holders' next-gen machines, and is due to launch this autumn.
Definitive confirmation on the price point and exact launch date is expected sometime next month.
