APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER The Board of Directors of Globetronics Technology Bhd ("GTB") is pleased to announce that Mr. Ooi Kim Huat was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of GTB Group with effect from 15 January 2008. Mr. KH Ooi, aged 46, graduated from University of Malaya with a First Class Honours degree in Electrical Engineering in 1986. Immediately upon graduating, Mr. KH Ooi started work in Intel and spent the next 22 years growing successfully with responsibilities covering the domestic and international arena. He grew from a Product Quality & Reliability Engineer to become Malaysia Site Quality & Reliability Manager within 4 years of joining Intel. In 1998, he was promoted to be Intel's World-Wide Manufacturing Quality & Reliability Manager for Assembly and Test and in 2000, he became Intel's World-Wide Manufacturing Quality & Reliability Director responsible for their world-wide wafer fabrication, assembly/test and board/system manufacturing with 2,500 employees from 22 manufacturing plants in 8 countries reporting to him. He finally decided to settle down in Malaysia to head up Intel Network Communications and Chipsets Operations in 2002 and became the General Manager of Intel's largest assembly/test manufacturing facility for their Kulim's Chipset Operations since 2006. As announced by the Board on 03 January 2008, Mr. Heng Huck Lee who used to be the Chief Operating Officer of GTB Group was promoted to be the new Chief Executive Officer of GTB Group, effective 03 January 2008. Mr. Michael Ng Kweng Chong who founded GTB and used to be the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, remains in charge as Founder and Executive Chairman of GTB Group, effective 03 January 2008. In addition to the top executive team as mentioned above, GTB Group also have a handful of well-groomed and capable Factory Managers /  General Managers reporting to the top executives and are possible successors in the coming years ahead. This announcement is dated 24 January 2008.
