奥洲羽总请统计学专家 Anthony Bedford 为球员分析羽球，如自己与对手的弱点，以便能针对性的训练。。。

原来英国和奥洲已经开始电脑分析羽球，只是不清楚效果如何，是否真的能提高球艺或提高比赛胜率呢？当然一切还需要时间证明。。。

该研究员 Anthony Bedford 博士还有一套的自创世界排名制。根据他的世界排名制，宗伟应该是排第一。。。

                                            WHENthe Olympic badminton draw is released in Beijing in August, the firstthing Australian team coach Lasse Bundgaard will do is email it to RMITUniversity statistics expert Anthony Bedford, who will have just a fewdays to analyse video and crunch numbers in a bid to find theopposition weak spots.
                According to Dr Bedford,"it will be mission control" back in Melbourne as he and six otherresearchers break down each point into up to 20 or so actions that canthen be run through the computer to pinpoint weaknesses.
"Once we do the grind of getting the data, then we do the analysisusing statistical methodology to determine what is a weakness andfilter out the junk that is a perceived weakness. That is when mathsreally kicks in," Dr Bedford told the HES.
For the past seven months Dr Bedford, senior lecturer at RMIT'sSports Statistics Research Group, has been developing programs to breakdown and analyse badminton games and try to give the Australian playersan edge over the dominance of the sport by Asian countries.
Since becoming an Olympic sport in 1992, 18 of the 19 gold medals have gone to Asia.
But only Australia and Britain have started using computer analysis to boost their performances.
Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the world. In a badmintongame the shuttlecock is hit through the air at more than 300km/h,compared with the tennis record of 246km/h. But the small size of thebadminton court means it is well suited to being comprehensivelyanalysed since the range of shots and action is limited.
It takes about three hours to code 20 minutes of playing time. Butonce in the system, the statistical program can find significant trendsthat are illustrated in graphs and on video.
It is both a coaching aid, as the Australian players try to iron outtheir own weaknesses, as well as a tool for dictating tactics.
Australia's men's doubles player Glenn Warfe said the analysis hadgiven him a new perspective on his game, and highlighted weaknesses hedidn't think he had.
"Sometimes the coach may tell you, but you can't see it yourself,"he said. "But when you see the stats and the video analysis you can'treally argue with that."
Dr Bedford has also formulated a different world-ranking system thathe believes is a better measure of form than the official rankings.
According to the official rankings, China's Lin Dan is the worldNo.1, a long way ahead of Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei in second place. ButDr Bedford's maths said Lee should be top. Funnily enough, earlier thismonth, Lee smashed Lin in a pre-Olympics game, to the shock ofeveryone, except Dr Bedford.
"It was very encouraging for the maths," Dr Bedford said.

他用他自己的计算方式。。。
不是现有WBF所用的世界排名的计算方式。他认为WBF现在用的计算方式不够精确啦！

就算天下第一又怎样？
宗伟心里肯定不踏实，因为他到现在还没有一个大赛冠军（这里是指奥运会、亚运会、世界锦标赛和全英赛）。
当年林丹未拿世界冠军之前，虽然登上世界第一宝座多年，可是在许多球迷眼里，道菲才是第一。
