Citigroup Inc. today reported third quarter 2010 net income of $2.2 billion or $0.07 per diluted share, marking its third consecutive quarterly operating profit. Citigroup income from continuing operations, which excludes an $800 million pre-tax ($435 million after-tax) loss on the previously-announced sale of The Student Loan Corporation ("SLC"), was $2.6 billion or $0.08 per diluted share in the third quarter 2010. In the first nine months of 2010, Citigroup earned $9.3 billion of net income and $9.6 billion of income from continuing operations.

U.S. Treasury To Sell Further 1.5 Bln Citigroup Common Stock - Update

(RTTNews) - The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced Tuesday that it plans to sell an additional 1.5 billion shares it holds in Citigroup, Inc. (C) as it continues to reduce its 27% stake in the bank.

The Treasury has entered into a fourth pre-arranged written trading plan with Morgan Stanley, as Treasury's sales agent, to sell the company's common stock.

The government required Morgan Stanley to provide opportunities to small broker-dealers, including minority- or women-owned broker-dealers, for participation in the sale.

Following the fourth pre-arranged sale, the Treasury will have reduced its stake in Citigroup to 7% from the initial holding of a 27% stake. It will now own about 2.1 billion shares of Citigroup common stock, which it says will be sold off in an  orderly fashion under a pre-arranged written trading plan with Morgan Stanley.

The Treasury said it has already completed the sale of about 4.1 billion shares of Citigroup common stock across three pre-arranged trading plans and has received about $16.4 billion in gross proceeds from the sale.

The Treasury noted that the taxpayers have received a total of $41.6 billion in revenue to date from this investment through repayments, dividends and interest, the sale of common stock, and the sale of other securities.

Citigroup was one of the worst hit banks during the subprime crisis and received $45 billion in bailout money under the Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). The nation's third largest bank was on the verge of collapse when it received the assistance in three tranches.

The company repaid $20 billion in stock and debt offering in December 2009. The remaining $25 billion was converted into 7.7 million shares of common stock at a price of $3.25 per common share, which the government is now selling off.

C closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $4.06, down $0.11 or 2.64% on a volume of 707.33 million shares, higher than the three-month average volume of 451.96 million shares.

我想开始我的第一只美股，我就选定CITI GROUP INC C

有几个问题请教，请问什么是INC C？后面还有很多 C+F, C+G , C+H, C+I等等。

请问这个CITI GROUP INC C我买了之后可以收5年以上吗？
