[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]Please see the attached flyer in regards to the next big charity event we are organising here at Uplands - a charity bike ride around the island.

[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]The ride will take place on Saturday 6th June, 2009[size=100%], commencing at 7:00am[size=100%] [size=100%]from The International School of Penang (Uplands). The entry cost is MR50 per person (including a free commemorative t-shirt). Each entrant will also collect sponsorship for participating in the ride.

[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]An anti-clockwise route will be taken when cycling on the day, travelling along the following roads:

• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Balik Pulau
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Teluk Kumba
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Permatang
• [size=100%][size=100%]Bayan Lepas Express
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jelutong Express
• [size=100%][size=100%]Lebuh Farquhar
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Burmah
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Kelawei
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Tunjung Tokong
• [size=100%][size=100%]Jalan Tunjung Bungah

[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]The total distance of the ride is 78.2km, which should take most people between 3-5 hours. The course consists of quite hilly terrain on the west side of the island with predominantly flatter roads on the east side. It definitely will be a challenge for all who take part and therefore practise rides have been organised which are highly recommended (please refer to the attached flyer).

[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]The purpose of the ride is to raise money for the organisation Habitat for Humanity and also as part of the CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) Program at Uplands School[size=100%][size=100%]. Thirty Year 12 students will be visiting Kuching in late June to help build houses for the less privileged. All money raised will go directly to the cost of this trip.

[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]After the ride there will be food, drinks and entertainment available at Uplands School[size=100%] and there will be a function later that evening at The Torch Bar & Restaurant, with a live band who will be coming from KL for the occasion.

[size=100%][size=100%][size=100%]Gary Yap from CCI Cycle Shop (216 Lebuh Canarvon) is the proud sponsor of this event and will donate 10 spot prizes on the day including bikes and accessories. He will also supply a support van with a mechanic on the day. If you require any assistance or need to purchase a bike or accessories please visit his shop and say you are from Uplands. I can assure he will look after you.

共有78.2km在3~5小時里完成。在west side 了會比較多山波，在east side了是平路。其他非物我不寫了。。。。。

Gary Yap來自CCI Cycle Shop (216 Lebuh Canarvon)，他捐了10樣東東包括腳車和零件。他也請了修理員和van車，請大家到他的腳車店看看。

脚车区的人也对这种慈善活动没有什么热情么？我还以为就是槟城版的没有热情呢。

有谁去吗? 好想去... 可是看到78km， 屁股就有痛的感觉。。。。那天踩了90km，屁屁痛2天。。。
