WATER INTAKE FEE IMPOSED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF PENANG

Pursuant to Paragraph 10.09 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Listing Requirements”), the Company hereby announce that the State Government of Penang has imposed a raw water intake fee at the rate of 3 sen per cubic meter based on the actual production volume annually (hereinafter referred to “Water Intake Fee”) from year 2011 to 2013, commencing from 1 January 2011.
The above Water Intake Fee is regarded as recurrent related party transaction (“RRPT”) pursuant to Paragraph 10.09 of the Listing Requirements by virtue of the substantial shareholdings held by State Government of Penang through the State Secretary, Penang (“SSI”) in the Company and the relationship between State Government of Penang and SSI. SSI is a major shareholder of the Company, holding 54.97% of the total issued and paid up capital of the Company as at 17 June 2011. The RRPT involves the payment of Annual Water Intake Fee by PBAPP to the State Government of Penang, of which SSI is deemed to have an interest.

这个报告应该是说州政府要从PBA那边收3 sen per cubic meter，这样子目的是要令PBA倒产！
因为节省水罚款那边收来太多钱了，不可能送给小股东。

2011年度上半年业绩刚出，业务增长20％，每股赚（eps）7sen.

Review of Group performance
Group revenue for the quarter ended 30 June 2011 increased by RM14.4 million or 28.6% as compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter 2010. Group profit before tax of RM15.6 million increased by 113.9% as compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter of RM7.3 million. The increases were mainly due to the improved sale of water revenue from trade consumers.

Variation of results against preceding quarter
Group revenue increased from RM56.3 million to RM64.6 million as compared to the immediate preceding quarter. Group profit before tax of RM15.6 million was up by RM2.4 million compared to the immediate preceding quarter of RM13.2 million largely due to the increased in trade revenue.

Current year prospects
The Group hopes to achieve satisfactory results for the year ending 31 December 2011. However such hopes must be tempered cautiously with prevailing global economic conditions.Nevertheless, the Board remains mindful on measures implemented to mitigate escalating costs amidst prevailing economic conditions

檳州水供明年收回430萬

（吉隆坡12日訊）檳州水供（PBA,5041,主板貿服組）截至2011年9月30日，相關人士交易項目的可收賬餘額為430萬令吉，公司估計能在2012年杪前回收這筆款項。

該公司發文告指出，根據相關人士結算提議下的第一筆489萬8千令吉可收賬，已透過抵銷檳州政府部份欠款方式支付，餘下430萬令吉則會在明年杪以前結算。（星洲日報／財經）
