你有没想过几时租车和那里拿车？你如果住Broadbeach，就找那里租车。

我决定不住在Broadbeach 了，很喜欢 Meriton Broadbeach, 不过写信去，它说one-room apartment 只能容纳一个小孩，2个就要定 two-room apartment, 贵了一千多澳元呢~~ （也给之后要去的family 一点参考），应该会找在 Surfers Paradise 附近的，比较方便吧，找到一间，在 Surfers Paradise 和 Broadbeach 之间，不过剩一间two-room apartment 了（比Meriton one-room 的还便宜），现在定好像太早，想再看看别的，可是又怕犹豫下来没房了，不过cancel 的话会被charge 至少 AUD $ 50~~

考虑之后，应该还是会住 Tangalooma Island Resort 一晚。 行程改成 10 / 2 (Sun) Brisbane     11 / 2 (Mon) Tangalooma.  这样应该还可以吧。  

我打算 9/2 (Sat) - 12 /2 (Tue) 租车。 看了Avis的，有点不明白。 请问Loss Damage Waiver 和 Excess Reduction  这两个有什么不同？  我知道后者是限制赔偿在AUD $ 330。 Loss Damage Waiver又是保什么的？ 我的孩子分别是7 和10岁（明年），澳洲有强制这样年纪的小孩坐car seat 吗？

谢谢你给的关于Brisbane 的资料，我会好好看看。 在看着Brisbane 的hotel.  我们租车去Brisbane ， 是不是应该租motel 比较方便，motel 会比 hotel 便宜吗？   毕竟只是住一晚，第2天一早又要出发到Tangalooma 了，真的不想花很多钱在Brisbane 的住宿上，可是看 booking.com上面的motel好像也没很便宜呢。有没有什么好介绍？

你可以用www.booking.com找family room。Brisbane的，还可以找到AUD150左右。你要留意第二天早上在Brisbane的parking 问题。make sure你有free parking。motel应该是便宜过hotel。

个人的见解：
Loss Damage Waiver
你买的insurance如果保额是3千，有意外发生，最高赔额是3千。你要留意insurance有没cover wheels, tyres, Headlights，Windscreen and windows。因为这些比较容易坏和修理费用贵。

Excess Reduction
如果有意外发生，你要付一个数目给rental公司来减低意外赔额。通常他们有几个package，
好像如果有意外发生，你要付330元给rental公司和最高赔额是3千。

你的两个孩子有多高？seatbelt不能碰到孩子的颈部。
car seat是一定要的，不然会中penaltyAUD330以上。坐car seat是要看小孩的身高，看这个：

sandy point beach resort是在Labrador。不靠近surfers Paradise，要11~15 mins车程。比较静。

            昆州拟借鉴美国实施了数十年的交通法规，在黄金海岸首次引入“红灯左转”规则。
昆州政府周四宣布将在黄金海岸挑选部分十字路口作为明年上旬交通新规试验对象。黄金海岸市市长泰特(Tom Tate)表示将此举作为研究的一部分，考察能否改善交通流量。倘若这个在黄金海岸南部开始的试验成功，将被推广到整个黄金海岸甚至全州。
这个交通规定在美国广受欢迎。根据规定，驾驶员们可在红灯时小心左转。新州和澳洲其他地区也实行了该规定。
昆州运输厅长埃玛信（Emerson）表示，试验时将允许驾驶员在指定的十字路口遇红灯左转，前提是驾驶员先为其它车、行人和骑车人让路。“澳洲其他城市已实行了这个规定，相信这个规定可以节省驾车时间及缓解十字路口拥堵情况。”
他补充道，“如果新规试验成功并改善交通流量，或将推广到昆州其他地区。”
昆州机动车团体则就此次试验发出警告，指国外数据显示规定增加了道路交通事故伤亡风险。
昆州皇家汽车协会（RACQ）表示试验罔顾司机们的安危，不如设立更多左转车道（slip lane）及左转绿箭头。
汽车协会安全政策执行经理斯波尔定(Steve Spalding)表示，国外报告显示在允许驾驶员红灯左转十字路口的车祸数有所上升。他更在周四的声明中表示，“来自南澳和新州的声音指他们正逐渐减少现有的红灯左转路口。”
斯波尔定亦称，假如驾车人在红灯时“犯错高速度左转，遇到迎面而来的人车流”，后果相当严重。“这也会模糊了红灯停的清晰印象。”
泰特则表示，试验时会将安全列为首位因素，并由黄金海岸市议会拨款20万元在路口设立相关路牌。“左行车道司机在试验路口遇红灯时必须先停车，观察整个路口确定没有其他汽车、行人及骑车人后方可安全地左转。”
泰特补充道，“相关路段在试验开始前保持原有交通规则，违反人士同样会受到处罚。”
现在新州、北领地、南澳和首都领地都在选定的十字路口实施了红灯左转规则。
昆州届时将在选定的十字路口竖立路牌，在上面清楚写明“红灯停车后方可左转”（“left turn on red permitted after stopping”）。

玩？是指那方面？交通，吃的？还是附近有没有shopping？
sandy point beach resort附近是海边。附近有几间餐馆，不多。有间(走路5分钟)Charis Seafood。每天1:30pm左右有pelican feeding。住那里，有时搭车，需要transfer。例如：要去movie world，要搭2次车。去Surfers Paradise，搭车都要大概35分钟。

Brisbane CBD to introduce off-peak paid parking in January to net City Hall $860,000 a year

OFF-PEAK parking in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley and CBD will be overhauled in a move expected to net City Hall about $860,000 a year in extra parking meter revenue.                                                                                                                        From the middle of January motorists will have to pay to park in a metered spot all day Saturday and Sunday and between 7am and 10pm Monday to Friday in a move designed to increase turnover in the growing trading areas.
Unmetered spots in those areas will remain free.
Deputy Mayor Adrian Schrinner said motorists would pay between $1 and $2 per hour during the non-peak parking period depending on which zone they parked in, just less than half the peak rate.
Cr Schrinner insisted the extra money made would be spent on footpath and park upgrades as with other parking meter revenue.
"People wanting to park for a couple of hours to do some shopping have an increased chance of finding an on-street park and will pay only a few dollars, rather than $15 to $20 in an off-street parking station."
                                                                                                                           
The changes affect 161 meters covering 1255 parking bays in the CBD, Fortitude Valley and South Brisbane areas.
Council expects to finish implementing the new hours before Easter next year.
The CBD meters will be first, coming on line from mid-January, followed by those in the Valley and South Brisbane.
The metered hours for on-street parking in the three areas will be extended from 7am-7pm to 7am-10pm Monday to Friday, while weekends will be metered from 7am-7pm.
The parking time allowed in each CBD space will be changed to either one hour or three hours while parking at Roma Street parklands will be metered for four hours on weekends.

根据我所知道的,
1.  如果我们租车很多天，那里写着unlimited kilometers included，是不是意思我们的邮费都是由公司承担了?

租车油费都是由必须自己支付的.  unlimited kilometers included意思是租车收费是无限公里的.  这是因为一些汽车租车公司将收费的计算根据行车距离(免费固定的行车距离(cap the number of free kilometres), 多余的行车距离将会收费).或者无限(行车距离)公里收费.
目前国际上的租车公司通用的油费支付方式主要有三种：一是还车前自行将油箱加满;二是将未加满油的车开回租车公司门市，并向其支付未满部分的油费;三是在使用车辆前预付一整桶油的钱（注意，是1满缸）。第二种方式租车公司除了汽油本身的钱还会追加一定的服务费，平均价格比路边加油站的油价贵不少。而第三种方式租车公司也会收取一定的服务费，且很少有人在还车时正好用完一桶油，剩在油箱里未用的那部分汽油的钱，租车公司是不退的。除非有把握基本耗光油，没必要买这个。

大大，我又发现几个问题了 ：
（1） 我上了Avis的网站，发现它有些优惠配套，不过也是在旺季之前，例如3rd day free,不过在15 Dec 2012之前。 象这样的offer是常常都有吗？ 还是只有淡季有？ 2月初还算旺季吗？

（2） 我发现Avis的租车配套是包括 Loss Damage Waiver, 是不是这样就不用再买Excess Reduction?  Avis 没有提到保额是多少，是不是都是standard的？

（3）在黄金海岸使用信用卡是不是不管金额多少都要charge 额外的费用？一般上费用怎么算？

（4）http://www.experienceoz.com.au 这是一个可靠的网站吗？  我看到Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary 的门票AUD$99. 上面写说没有charge credit card, 所以我们是到那里出示voucher, 然后才付款？

不嘵得。只可以说，那时，不是Australia的school holiday。但是，澳人喜欢夏天去海边。
（2） 我发现Avis的租车配套是包括 Loss Damage Waiver, 是不是这样就不用再买Excess Reduction?  Avis 没有提到保额是多少，是不是都是standard的？
Excess Reduction是有意外发生时，你才要付的钱。如果有意外发生，你要付一个数目给rental公司来减低意外赔额。通常，最多要付大概AUD3000。最少要付AUD330。
为了避免有意外发生时，你要付很多Excess Reduction。你就除了付租车费，也多买extra 的Excess Reduction(来减低意外赔额)。意思是，你买extra 的Excess Reduction，你可能只需付大概AUD330(因为沒有全保的)。你如果不买extra 的Excess Reduction，你可能需付大概AUD330~AUD3000。
详细保额和Excess Reduction，一定要你订车，才会看到。因为要看你订什么车、多少天、车有多旧、那里拿车、等等

（3）在黄金海岸使用信用卡是不是不管金额多少都要charge 额外的费用？一般上费用怎么算？
沒试过charge 额外的费用

不嘵得可不可靠。但，有看过网友买。你需先online付款，他们会email voucher给你。在Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary，出示voucher，才可进去。

谁都可以买。要留意term and conditions。

举个例子：
有意外发生时，修理车费是5000。
如果有买extra 的Excess Reduction，保险公司赔4670。你付330。
如果有没买extra 的Excess Reduction，保险公司赔2000。你付3000。


注：数目只是个举个例子。
