Description	THIRD SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR OIL PALM PLANTATION DATED 18 NOVEMBER 2005 ("THE PRINCIPAL AGREEMENT")
The Board of Directors of IPB wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Serijaya Industri Sdn. Bhd. ("Serijaya") and Benta Wawasan Sdn. Bhd. ("BENTA") have on 9 July 2018, entered in a Third Supplemental Agreement to the Principal Agreement for the purpose of: 1.      Deleting Clause 4.1(a) and Clause 4.1(b) of the Principal Agreement and replacing them by the following new Clause 4.1:          Clause 4.1          In consideration of the rights to use the land under this Agreement, the Company shall pay a rental of RM2,201,502.00 (rental sum) covering the period from Year 2018 to Year 2070 (total period of 53 years) in equal annual payment of RM41,538.00.  Additionally, interest at the rate of 8% per annum is chargeable on the total outstanding rental sum on a reducing balance basis.  The annual rental is payable at the beginning of the year and the interest payable for the year or proportion thereof shall be paid at the end of interest period applicable.         The Company has the rights to prepay the outstanding Rental Sum by serving one month’s notice in writing to BENTA. 2.      Amending Clause 8.1(b) of the Principal Agreement as follows:          Clause 8.1(b)          The Company shall promptly pay to the Forestry Department such royalties and/or other payments in such manner and at such times as shall be imposed or required by the Forestry Department from time to time and such royalties are non-negotiable. 3.      Deleting the entire Clause 13 of the Principal Agreement and replacing it by the following new Clause 13:          Clause 13.1          Save for the existing charge and/or assignment of any of its rights and interest under this Agreement to any banks and/or financial institution for the purpose of securing banking and/or credit facilities for the said Development, the Company shall not in future charge and/or assign any of its rights and interest under this Agreement. 4.      Deleting Clause 14 of the Principal Agreement. This announcement is dated 9 July 2018.
