       世界卫生组织（WHO）5月7日发布的“2014年城市户外空气污染数据库”显示，世界上年平均PM2.5浓度最高的20个城市一半以上来自印度，这一数据目前只更新至2014年5月。据榜单排名，在20座空气最污浊的城市中，印度新德里排名第一。中国城市“落榜”前20，北京的空气污染在世界排名第77位。在20座空气最污浊的城市中，有13座在印度，新德里、巴特那、瓜廖尔和赖布尔位居前四。新德里PM2.5的年平均值为每立方米153微克，另一个城市巴特那的数值紧随其后，为149微克。

I’ve gone there to visit cousins. There is a place called Misaeed very close to Doha which has all the petrochemical factories. There are also Sand dunes located close in Misaeed where people go to ride beach buggies. I went for the same and could smell the fumes from these factories . This and the ever blowing sand makes for a toxic combination. If you live there for a long time, it’s like smoking several cigarettes a day. That could be the reason why it’s featured in this list.

靠近Misaeed的地方有沙丘，人们去那里骑沙滩车，我也不例外，当时可以闻到从工厂飘出来的气味，与吹沙一起形成了有毒组合。

要是住在那里，相当于一天吸几根烟。这也许就是多哈上榜的原因吧。
