Depreciaton 折旧算法

求助。。。
之前我公司是给会计楼做accounts的, 我搞不懂他们的Depreciation是怎样算的， for Motor Vehicle A
2011 Depreciation Rm16084
2012 Depreciation Rm13185
2013 Depreciation Rm16538
2014 Depreciation Rm19891
Motor Vehicle B
2013 Depreciation Rm13986
2014 Depreciation Rm11867
Motor Vehicle C
2013 Depreciation Rm6280
2014 Depreciation Rm6644
其他的有点Plant & Machinery用１０％ 或１４％ ， 请问同一个account为什么可以选不同的method算depreciation? 不明白他们是用什么method. 究竟该怎么算今年的？

it is normal the depreciation using the straight line method, u can refer to the audit report...depreciation rate charged based on the particular item...so different rate for different item even under same category lets say called "equipment", depend on its useful life...so fixed asset listing must be well prepared and controlled...auditor will normally review the residual value of motor vehicle (based on their best knowledge to market value of that motor vehicle)to check whether the depreciation charged is reasonable or not, auditor will adjust accordingly....i will suggest you get the fixed asset listing from your accounting firm and continue to depreciate based on the depreciation rate they set previously...same to the motor vehicle, and let the auditor to adjust if they feel necessary later.... |

I have the depreciation listing which shown in balance sheet. But I got no idea how they obtain the figure as I no idea how to find out.
My company is sole prioprietorship, so they dont have any financial report which listed what is the method they used to depreciate.
I have checked with them, but they say if I dont know just pass them to prepare the account for the end of the year.
Anyone know how to obtain residual value base on the market rate?

if sole prop, then simple (no need audit mah)...u just continue to depreciate (cost x depreciation rate); as long as you got asset detail/listing so u can continue to depreciate...how much the net book value ? if immaterial then just ignore what they did previously (no point to check bc), if got new asset come in the future, then u control properly...since ur company sole pro then i dun think they will do the residual value test lah (to get the market value, just call the car dealer or web searching) ...the depreciation for first two years may different because the purchase date ( eg. july 2013 u baru beli, so depreciate half oni)... have u check the cost always same for the four years? or ur accountant dunno wat reason increase/decrease the cost half way?...if u really not comfortable to do it on your own then better refer to accounting firm... since we also lack info about ur cimcustance here, so also cannot help u much...my two cents opinion |
