NEWS RELEASE                                                                                    26TH FEB 2007

SCOMI FY 2006 TURNOVER JUMPS 48%

Scomi Group Berhad (“Scomi” or the “Group”) which is listed on the Main Boardof Bursa Malaysia today announced a significant 48% jump in Turnover to RM1,575.6 million for the year ended 31st December 2006 compared to RM1,068.0 million recorded in the previous financial year.

For the full financial year ended 31stDecember 2006, Scomi recorded a Net Profit of RM84.6 million. The preceding financial year’s Net Profit of RM151.7 million included the one-off gain on disposal of the machine shop by the Group. Excluding this non-operational and exceptional gain, year-on-year Net Profit improved by an impressive 58% for the financial year 2006.

The above unaudited full year results came on the back of the Group’s continued strong performance for Q4 2006 with Turnover increasing by 58% to RM469.5 million compared to RM296.3 million recorded in Q4 2005.

The Group registered a Net Profit of RM25.2 million for Q4 2006 against RM109.5 million recorded in the preceding year’s corresponding quarter.Excluding the above mentioned non-operational and exceptional gainrecorded in Q4 2005, the Net Profit for Q4 2006 increased by 121%.

Forthe quarter under review, Turnover comprises contribution from Asia(excluding Malaysia) at 26%; Americas at 19%; Middle East, North Africa and Caspian at 15%; North Sea at 9%; and West Africa at 4%.
